This is such an important topic we need to adress more all over the world. The concept and interpretation of gender-specific "duties" are different in every country so i really appreciate, that a show is discussing this matter with people of different generations. Thank you very much. ♡

I agree with not getting married just to have children. Some people have a child not long after getting married and they didn't even get to enjoy being newlyweds or husband and wife for a good amount of time. They end up becoming parents just as long as they've been spouses and that affects the nature of their relationship.

I guess it's also age dependent, like for some women in their 30s, they want to have kids fast, otherwise there are risks and they might have to freeze their eggs etc

Single is not great, marriage is neither great. But having a life partner who understands and love uconditionally, is what u should looking for. Marriage doesn’t mean love and happiness. It’s about ur relationship and not the status. Ppl should stop putting focus on being married or not.

Once you get married and have kid’s, the marriage become about them. Children r called dependant for a reason. You focus 80% of your time making sure they r okay, happy and growing well, 10% on staying sane and remaining on yourself & spouse. Being single & married comes with different pain. 😅😢😂😊

I wish society in general would step away from thinking that getting married is the only way to live and being single is a sad life choice. When in reality each individual has their own right way to live.

Jiwon got married during his 1n2d days and they, specifically Ho Dong (so I can imagine how other folks spoke off camera) really did make such a big deal about him getting married (or getting engaged). (Sidenote: Ho Dong often asked people if they were dating/engaged) Then after he got married, Ho Dong kept mentioning Ji Won having kids and when he would have kids. One time Ji Won even said "why are you talking about this when we're not even talking it yet (or something like that) Society really does pressure people basically to have kids but to do it in a "respectable" way which means pressuring people to get married leading to what Se Hyung & Ji Won were talking. The master didn't even counter that; his main argument was basically again a societal obligation to boost population numbers. Even the former baseball player member's selling point is how heartwarming it is to have a kid. Yeah, he's lovey dovey with his wife but the main thing is they're parents.

The reality is marriage and children are not for everyone. If more people realized that this world would be better. That’s why so many broken households exist, some people are just not fit to be together or with anybody at all but do it because it’s ‘the norm’ and even greater the pain is when people that are not fit to have children do have then and in turn send more emotionally broken people into the world because of the love and care they did not know how to give. At the end of the day, alone we come, alone we go, relationships are VERY important, but the greatest one is with yourself. Only if you can take care of that you can have healthy relationships with other people too.

I don't think marriage and being a parent is for everyone. If you choose to have that then it's fine, but if the person knows that they can't live that life then wouldn't it be better not to instead of making a child's life suffer? I've seen so many irresponsible parents nowadays who probably got married because everyone in their circle of friends got married too then proceeds to be negligent in taking care of their child that it makes me mad cuz you literally chose that life so own up to it
@Yianiz
@Yianiz Жыл бұрын
I so agree. Marriage and having children should be a different thing. Some just marry to have kids but that is not the sole purpose of getting married. It is to be with someone you love for the rest of your life. So having kids is another thing. It's rare that married people talk about how happy they are in their marriage, how they adore their wives and husbands. Also don't expect that all women wanted to get married and have kids. Some wants to get married and that's it. Just enjoy each other's company. These issues have to be addressed before even considering marriage to not set expectations m

And he is correct when he said that men have a responsibility to society. Growing and nurturing the next generation is not a lousy thing for them to laugh at. You can see in this video how the younger generation views marriage and family. I do not agree with the other guy when he said that the wiser man's statement came off as if "forcing" them to have kids for the sake of society because he was simply stating the responsibility of humanity to the human race and it is up to us whether we take up that responsibility.

Marriage is just for status. You don’t need it to stay together. In fact a lot of people tend to drift away from each other after marriage. It’s just too much and unnecessary. That’s why a lot of people get divorced.

Both individuals in a relationship should be inlove with the idea/ concept of marriage itself and what comes with it before they decide to get married just because they feel the need to, a way to prove their love , are inlove and have that goal to start a family.

I was looking for that ! Thankfully your comment was already there. I absolutely agree : marriage is such a lifetime commitment (in theory) that it requires both people to be willing to forgo their selfishness for the sake of the spouse and the union being built. Not everyone is able to do it, and the best most mature thing is to not get into a marriage without being willing to sacrifice

I think everyone has rights to live their life as what makes them feel content. The truth of one’s life may differ to the other and the truth of one’s life may change too. So whatever it is now, was in the past, or will be in the future… just do it as long as you are happy with your choice. As long as you live your life to your truest meaning.

My mother the one who takes care of theirs child. When I talk with him why didn't he divorce his wife if he not happy. He said cause his children. He didn't want his children growing up without a mother.

Single: can do anything, less responsibilities, self love, can go around or date but time will come that you don't want to be alon le anymore or just have fling in others and just want more serious and long term relation. Married: one and only wife that will help you in everything and be your partner and support system, more dream for your own family and future children, playing and taking good care of your child, but you will have more problems because of responsibility.

That’s true the joy in marriage in Korea is their kids like having kids means you have to be married. Marriage is about the couple and the family they build yes I’m not saying kids isn’t a part of marriage but it’s a small part. Marriage is about loving someone having that one person who isn’t a friend or family who will be there thick and thin and someone who knows just about everything about you but…do you need to be married to have that? No but marriage is for those who want to be officially recognized legally as family if you go into marriage thinking you have to or you should or because you want to have kids it’s wrong because you are legally binding yourself to someone ending it isn’t that easy marriage involves the binding of two separate families together and bringing everyone into your lives into it of your not sure don’t it.

Jiwon, Doyoung, and Bambam are all kpop idols. I hope that they will not think forever for not getting married aside that their good genes must be multiplied Hahaha I want them also to have their own family. I understand some said that Marriage is not easy, it was tough tho. Like the married man said, nobody said it was easy but it's all worth it. It's just about timing, all of them already experienced being single and it's nice.. but there is sad side of it also, same with being married but it will give you new life and partner in everything and more purpose in life specially when you already have children

But when people say they want to get married, they usually mean they want to meet the person they'd be happy to spend their life with. Not get married to anyone, just to be called married. The career metaphor isn't really relevant.

Why People who are criticizing these men's for wanting to have kids with their partners? 🤔Just bcz men doesn't carry child doesn't mean that they can't wish to have kids and why does men have to give up his dream of having a child just bcz their partners doesn't want to have one... Just like women, men also have feeling and wants so instead of criticizing a men for wanting to have kids if u don't want to have one just don't be with a person who wants to have one it's as simple as that...just like a women can't sacrifice for her spouse who wants to have kids why should men sacrifice too, kids are no small matter so it's better to talk this through before getting married and if your goals don't match up it's better to think through it instead of hurting one another

He even say that don't want his like take over for having married-children but that's happen to women but men never recognize their sacrifice and on top of that they force women to do it because it's supposedly what "women have to do", that is what they force us to do

Such a useless discussion. You cant change everyone's principles, everyone is different. And the grass will always be greener on the other side, always. When we live alone, there must be envy seeing the bond that partners build. And when we get married, we will miss living alone. Every life, age, experience, financial situation, and mindset has its own phase.
