I think maths is necessary specially if you develop some algorithms from scratch....today lot of things were already written and lot of hell libraries available as a wrppaer to use in almost all language to make programmer life easy....but we need to study 1) descrete mathematics 2) linear algebra 3) calculus Maths does not mean to solve equation rather writing a program to solve equation is the key..
