The fang club is sooo.. Nothing right now. I was really excited to hear from the designers and see dolls early and so far none of those have happened and there's no sign of it happening. The live stream wasn't even club exclusive

In addition to all this, they just revealed that the Chucky and Tiffany Skullector dolls will be available on May 1st! I feel like that's so random and didn't give the collectors a chance to breathe after Rochelle. Also they seemed to have totally paused the whole Masquerade line?

In terms of Rochelle, I think the fang vote situation was a mistake. It set up expectations and those were not met. I will commend them for doing a made to order presale, as that will ensure everyone who wanted one could do so within the timeframe allotted. With Maleficent, I get that there are licensing fees that go into the overall price tag of the doll, but because of that price, I as a collector expect more. I would’ve gladly dropped money for her if she was better executed. The one thing for me that made me decide not to buy her is the play line body with molded on underwear. That does not say adult collector. The amount of plastic used is also a turn off, especially the all translucent staff, shoes and lower legs. The doll not having articulation at the knee also means that the entirety of the leg is translucent, which means they over spray it to have the ombré effect and we now know how well that went for G3 Lagoona. I also feel the choice of body works against the design of the dress. She looks like a shapeless cylinder. I love the concept, mid transformation, but the execution is poor at best. I’d rather have them do a plain box like they do for most Barbie signature releases if that means they’re going to use most of the budget on the doll.

I didn’t order Rochelle because she didn’t match the concept art which Really disappointed me. I’m not a fan of loud garish colors and think it’s very wrong of them to give us the right to vote, and then not follow through. She doesn’t have her gloves or blushing either. I was very sad because she was the one I wanted most of the new exclusive dolls 😞. Of course everyone can do what they want, and I mean no offense to those who bought her anyway. To me though, it’s just supporting them not doing what they say, when you purchase something that doesn’t match what was promised; and they will continue to just do what they want if we keep supporting such behavior. I grew up with the incredible quality of g1 and I can just imagine if they made anything as stylish and high quality again they would charge 200 bucks. Which is insane because that was considered playline, and the standard has dropped into the abyss

I don't think any of these $50 and up MH dolls don't look like collector dolls to me. The material looks cheap and way too many plastic accessories.

Too much and too quickly! I also think it's highly questionable that Ghoulia's box was revealed but not Rochelle's even though she's insanely priced. That being said I also ordered Ghoulia too because she's my favorite character. Hoping for some Creepros,

Rochelle, who I voted for, was the 1st MH doll I actually passed on. She is pretty. The price point vs what you get with this doll was the deciding factor for me. The "Wow" factor is missing. I do collect high end dolls but have to be selective cuz im not rich. If the doll makes you happy, get it. But for me,there are other dolls out now that topped this one. I will enjoy Rochelle via other ppls pics. Im glad ppl who wanted her had a different option to obtain her. Malicfient is a SUPER HARD PASS for me, $150 ??? 😮 H$%! No!!!

Mattel has gotten out of hand when it comes to pricing. Especially when the price doesn’t match the quality whatsoever. If these drops continue to be like this I don’t think Mattel creations will continue to release dolls outside of Barbie

I am underwhelmed with Mattel’s inability to meet the demand for Barbies and Monster High dolls. It’s frustrating that Mattel doesn’t limit one doll per customer. It appears that some ruthless members immediately put the extra dolls on Amazon for double or triple the price they just paid to Mattel! I think it must be Mattel’s intention to drive prices up. Otherwise, why wouldn’t they give members a day to place advanced orders? As you point out, they did that for this new Frankie doll coming out, so why not do that for every doll they offer to members? I don’t feel the Barbies offered have been anything close to the dolls offered when they had Platinum, Gold, and Silver annual memberships. Judging from the Integrity dolls you’ve shown, they’re a much higher quality than what Mattel is making. I’m going to start collecting those dolls and I have no plans to buy any memberships in Barbie or MH moving forward.

the rochelle was soooo disappointing :(( i was so excited when i saw the finished look sketched up but the actual doll isnt right. the colors are too saturated, there is hardly any detail, the dress is a weird length and the clear ish blue shoes really arent doing it for me

Honestly it looks like a 60-70 dollar doll. The materials do look cheap. I do wonder if the flat flame effect was intentional since Sleeping Beauty as a movie often looks flat in different scenes. As for MH, I am still wanting G3 dolls. I do think that Rochelle is overpriced even though I spent over that price on some G1 dolls.

I regretfully signed up for the Fang Club. But I've decided to just stop collecting MH altogether and let it be just nostalgia. It feels like Mattel themselves are scalping the brand themselves by charging almost $100 per drop and them being an every month thing at this point. I've stopped on G3 after 3 dolls cause they just weren't cut to me (sorry). Gonna focus on Barbie Looks/MTM Hybrids and IT fully from now on😊

I skipped Rochelle got Ghoulia I’m definitely not over G1 dolls but if they are gonna overprice them I will go back to buying second hand I still got a list of dolls I could get would make me happy and I don’t gotta wait months to get. Drops are frustrating, just when you “think” it’s fixed then it’s disastrous like they give you false security then pull the rug out like I bet the Chucky skullector is gonna be a disaster and if they Jack the price up I can’t get them, I just can’t there isn’t enough. Then when they do ship it’s fed ex and that’s stressful least for me twice it almost resulted in me either getting my doll stolen or it just disappeared in their system luckily I got a replacement but I mean it was INCREDIBLY stressful. I “was” planning on G3 this month hoping they’d just release a HCMR doll which after Frankie who I still don’t have I’ve decided to just skip too. Gorgeous for play line quality say even $50 in stores but lashes don’t make a doll a collector and they CERTAINLY aren’t worth the $75 price point. It’s not loss of interest it’s not everyone has that kinda money for a doll. Mattel is just for ppl now have deposable income I wish I was into RH dolls right now cause I feel I’d get more quality for less. Besides some of their SH though this is not my genre of dolls.

I just subbed today I have been meaning to for a while. I missed the Rochelle but I would have passed on her. Pretty but not inspiring me to pay that price tag. I do love the shoes & purse. Hot toys made an Angelina face sculpt Maleficent years ago around $200, more worth her price. This doll is nice but I would pay 1/3rd of her price.
