loaded miles to the truck means they took their cut already.

Unfortunately your math is wrong. The averages quoted in your recruiting info is to the truck - not gross. Your taking truck pay numbers and deducting the percentage again - mercer has already done that. At mercer you are always quoted money “to the truck” that includes the averages you’re working with.

Hmmm ok
@brianhelton7438 Жыл бұрын
For the record - I don’t thjnk this was intentional or that you were trying to mislead. It’s very common in the industry to get quoted “gross numbers” rather than what you actually get to the truck. Mercer doesn’t do it that way.

Even says to the truck next to it

That average is for certain drivers not the new guy. They push you to locations like florida and other places like that and crap ton of deadhead. I just quit mercer.. the recruiter lies to you to get you in and then they control your load board.. if anybody ever had a true 100% fuel surcharge you would see that a 2 dollar per mile load probably only pays 1.5per mile.. but if you came from another major company you may not think it's to bad..

Im just staring with mercer i like it but im averaging 2.10 on all miles dead head and loaded. I would like to atleast average 2.50 but i have to try run to better areas with better rates

Who is paying a dollar a mile for fuel that would be 3.5 miles to the gallon I was doing 5 running local in a old truck
@pablosalinas47754 ай бұрын
I run about 4.5 or 5.2 in a really good day lol and yeah that’s doing long haul. Doing local is hard to calculate because there’s so much idling and constant stop and go, I run local as well if the rates are up lol
@melvinkeller14664 ай бұрын
That’s still $.77 a mile for fuel. Almost everyone I know in newer truck is getting 6-8 mpg

SuperTruck Dan here on KZbin pull flatbed for them. For what I can tell, he does pretty well with them. You pick and choose your own loads with them.

That’s not very good. I take home more than that and I work 7am to 3 pm. In my bed every night eat at home every day. There’s no future living in a truck.
