Is MHD REALLY Worth it? | N55 335i
Today I discuss weather or not you should consider MHD for your N55 BMW 335i. I list the pros and cons and give you an idea of what to expect. If you're someone who actually reads the description of KZbin videos, I'll spoil it for you; MHD is worth it (Also leave a comment if you actually read this). @@boosted_john i dont know about the coil pack, probably OEM. but spark plugs are typically change to one step colder (OEM n55 plugs)

In my case, MHD was DEFINITELY worth it! I have a 2011 335is with the N54 that has the usual bolt-ons. I'm running a Stage 2+ flash, turned off the factory cold start fast idle, no burbles. Dyno shows 485 hp and 537 lb.ft. at the crank and it runs perfectly. The MHD flash is quick and easy to install, a joy to work with and very inexpensive. In my mind, it is the best!

2011 335i has N55. Unless the 335is is different, but I’m pretty sure it’s N55.

Dante Hooks water pump went bad. That was annoying. Other than that, no major issues. Water pumps go bad around 60-80k miles.

I don’t know man I’ve only owned my 08 335 for a week and it was meticulously maintained Without a doubt the best 6k I’ve ever spent it has an mhd flash burger duel cones tial bov on a burger charge pipe not sure about the intercooler or down pipes the kid I bought it from said they were oem but then again he said it had never been tuned lol and when my friend pluged his tablet into the obd mhd was running

Your engine is barely broken in! I've seen N54s with over 125,000 miles make serious, reliable power so don't worry, just do it!

@@boosted_john I had startup roar enabled for a bit when it was first released. My car absolutely did not like it. Unless I was turning the car on shortly after turn it off, it stumble looking for idle. But I do have a dying hpfp.

I just installed MHD in my N54 yesterday, and my water pump went bad a few hours later. Lol😆 But I definitely felt the power difference. I have charge pipe/BOV and dual corn. I'm pretty sure I'm making at least 310+whp Though I could be wrong.

Catless downpipe or upgraded catted downpipe (VRSF), upgraded charge pipe (VRSF), upgraded air intake, upgraded exhaust... Bout 700 bucks. Buy and install all that (do it yourself, it's easy/if you take it to a shop it'll be pretty expensive). Then, buy mhd, 300 bucks. Download the app on your phone, then tune away....
