Minelab rocks, doesn't get any better than this. Minelab just addressed all the Equinox quality concerns, isnt this what everyone has been asking for. I know I been wanting/waiting for Minelab to upgrade the Equinox and now here it is. Kudos to Minelab, I will certainly be taking a hard look at the new 700 & 900. I been wanting to upgrade from my Vanquish 540 and Minelab just made my choice easy.

Hi Lou , Kellyco has prices and is taking orders for all three. From what I have heard the waterproof headphones will plug into the jack on all three but wireless headphones will not sinc on the newer machines. They have wireless headphones but run a different frequency .

Before you call Kellyco there are better prices out there than going to that big box store, all it takes is a phone call.

Right I would like to know the Price point too. I know I would like the Manticore but man 1600 is a bit steep. I should have bought the 800 over the 600 but I went with the 600. So the next one I get I should get the 900 as it will be the top of the Nox Series. I do have the Vanquish 340 and the 540, I would like to have the 440 just to have the Series but man we can only swing one at a time. lol ...Peace

If the 600 is $599 and the 800 is $899 it would only make sense that the 700 would be $699 and the 900 would be $999. Then the Manticore would be the better machine at $1599.

I agree completely with Your question. I have just asked the same question to one of the largest retailers in Australia with the same comparison to Apple. Why do companies flood the markets with new product requiring new equipment?

Mr Tones - MLab already has the best gold machines on the market, GPZ7000 & GPX6000. ⛏👍🤠✌🇦🇺 Fyi - it's not like they could do the same as the GoFind upgrade and call it a 600600 or 800800😉😂🤣 And that raises the next question, are they now discontinuing the 600s? & Is the 8 stiil better than the 7?

I think it's a racket it's all about money not quality of the product!! The At pro / At gold / and the At max / are in a series...The equionx 600 and 800 rocks hard 😎 ... The 700 and 900 is about the same I guarantee it. Time will tell fingers crossed..Mr Tones You and Merrill will prove it on your great channels..Or if they are trash they will be in someone's garage laying up on the wall. lol 😆 😂 keep swinging and digging Brother Tones.. 💪

So did they beef up the coil ears on these new models or did they follow the Manticore rod ear design on them? I hope the arm cuffs are improved as well. I went through two cuffs. I got smart and got me an aluminum cuff from Detect Ed. I’d also like to know how Minelab solved the drowning pod issue as well. Iffy Signals has a video out already testing the Equinox 900. Here’s the thing, people like us that detect a lot are gonna buy a manticore instead of a 700 or 900. That’s just facts. I can’t imagine just starting and kicking out a grand for a 900. I also can’t imagine anyone who is super serious about detecting not kicking up the extra for the Manticore. I personally think that it’s not a very good business decision to release 3 high end non-specific use detectors at the same time. Nice haircut btw.

I have a question regarding metal detecting in nyc so I can only metal detect on permitted sites or do they mean only these sites on the list requires the permit? So if I find a park etc that's not on the list then I don't need a permit?

Only city parks that are listed are permitted. Some have extra rules and restrictions. National parks are off limits nationwide.

1st... hope all is well seeing you haven't made a video in some time anyway...... I just came across your channel and I did subscribe. I've owned a cheap detector now for a little while and saved some cash so I can buy 1 QUALITY MACHINE. I'm not gonna be buying detectors every couple months like some people but I want something good now. I have 2,500 for just the detector and would value your opinion on 1. I'm in nj on the east coast of the the states and looking for waterproof ocean proof, beach sand, and hard dirt detecting. What would you choose with 2,500 to spend(im not looking for value for money, I'm looking for the best I can get within 2,500 dollars)? A few people now tell me the manticore or deus 2 but leave it at that... I love to get your opinion on 1 or the other UNLESS YOU HAVE A DIFFERENT FAVORITE..... THANKS

AT THE MOMENT I'm thinking the deus 2 for detector and if so then the mi-6 pointer for shovel im thinking the Phoenix and I'm hoping to get a honey badger but there sold out at the moment

No, Xp is, minelab is more like sony or phillips, inovative but everything breaks. XP is like Apple, stuff that works for years and years with clever and well thought off minimal design. Minelab is made in Malaysia, while XP makes everything in their own factory in France. Apple is trying to make more and more in house because of quality control and not being independent on other countries.

Not impressed with Minelab at the moment, we are getting a new machine the manticore then bam just before it hits the shop Minelab drop the Nox 700 and 900 on us now they are a pumped up version of the Nox so where does that put the manticore is it a new machine or is it a pumped up version of the Nox 900 on steroids, got my name down for a pre order of the manticore but I tell you I just don’t know if I should buy one now
