Ricky from Mishimoto visited us here at our ModBargains facility. We took the opportunity to film two videos for you guys! A Talking Mods one and s more in depth one that will be featured on our ModBargains channel. Ron spent majority of the day with Ricky and asked him some pretty tough questions regarding Mishimoto, such as, "What makes Mishimoto special compared to their competitors?", "How does Mishimoto deal with the EPA?", and "What new products do they have in the pipeline?" to name a few.
This content is slightly different to the normal content we post here so we hope that you guys all enjoy and have learned something from Mishimoto. Great video I run the aluminum radiator and overflow tank on my 95 m3 for5 years no leaks i think the quality of workmanship is spot on clean welds etc being in Oceanside i like to deal with local companies.

*THIS! 26 minutes is the kind of manufacturer/vendor rep conversational exchange you should engage in more often. Intro is spot-on where you "cordially" set the tone for the ensuing conversation. Ricky's stretched grin is priceless.* *BTW: Mishimoto clamps are junk. Bands are 304 but everything else is provably plated mild steel. A cobalt-ceramic magnet always tells the tale. Got into a verbal with Mishimoto over my 11 July 2019 Amazon review of their MMCLAMP-2. Seems they didn't appreciate my posted photos demonstration. Granted, your interview is two+ years later but doubt much has changed. Cheers!*

One thing about Mishimoto is they are listening to their customers, improving, its not an easy ship to steer as they are a pretty big company. They took my criticism years back really well, instead of just spinning things with marketing fluff, they've really invested in R&D and it's showing on all the new products. They have CARB EO approvals, they really seem to be getting things done, at the same time they are trying to keep things affordable for the end user, with warranty that I can say is Industry leading. So Mishimoto really deserves to be relooked at and appreciated for their value, because their products are making power accordingly. There is always a give and take in 'value'. I am sure they'll take note of the Clamp bands, but good to know regarding , and I know they read the comments in here.

I got a aluminum radiator from them 1-2 months later got a leak and had to pay 1500$ to fix it don’t recommend them at all

I would contact them asap, I've only heard that they are great at taking care of issues like that.

Why would spend that much on a leak fix when most there radiator are worth a third that price? 🤔 Btw did your lifetime warranty ran out or something..

Mishis customer service is absolute trash. They don’t care about there customer after the fact. Don’t blame op for fixing it himself. I’ve had nothing but issues trying to get a new radiator from them. Even had to pay $50 for shipping after paying almost $1k for the first defective one.

For a company mostly about cooling there fans are pure garbage that flow less them oem designs... But hey those metal shrouds are shiny lol

Hi Brice, feel free to write in here your own experience, I know Mishimoto might respond. I've personally felt there has been a big shift there over the past few years, in terms of quality and engineering and customer service (that I think their products are good) but again you may have had your own experience which would be great to share here, and maybe they can respond as well. If it was in the past keep in mind that's what I really wanted to highlight. Appreciate you watching!

Is Mishimoto coordinating with other established Parts manufacturer R&D engineering departments too dispell the myths that performance equals pollution? Why does a automobile manufacturer have the 1 st and last say on parts for a vehicle? I think if R&D can prove equal, and gains then that mod gets a green light to hit the market. 👍❤️🔔

Great question, I'll let Mishimoto jump in here to help answer. But, I'll give you my 2 cents from what I see, I've seen the dialogue really be from the manufacturers approaching SEMA with the Data to present it out there, and I see this on a regular basis through places like SEMA garage (which is their engineering area that manufacturers share and use, and in turn is presented with regulatory bodies). I agree the R&D with proof should help give that green light to market.
