I have the Eurocharged tune on my 2005 NA automatic Roadster and the 74mm larger throttle body. I did the tune first and noticed a bit of power increase along with smoother power and torque all the way to the redline. After swapping the stock throttle body for the larger one and retuning, the car was transformed and finally felt responsive and adequate. With traction control off, I spin'em off the line and also break the tires loose when it shifts to second in around 55 degree weather. This is with sticky tires already warmed up. I often drive the car in winter mode to take advantage of the added torque. I may someday install a CAI if I find a used one for good price as the air supply is one of the Crossfire's weak point. This is one of the most underestimated car out there. I also have an SRT6 hardtop that I think I will sell before it gets me into trouble. It was plenty fast when I first got it, but became seriously fast after a Eurocharged tune. This means going from 330hp to claimed 368hp. It seriously feels faster and the power is smoother as well. The only inconvenience is putting the power to the asphalt. It was easy to break them loose before but after the tune it is way too easy to do. It feels very much like a muscle car while being refined.
@tchrisou8126 жыл бұрын
On your 05 NA with the new throttle body and Eurocharched tune, what would you estimate the 0-60 time to be? any hp increase test or guess?
@samirsmudge6 жыл бұрын
I first did the tune and drove it for a while until i got the throttle body upgrade. It felt like it had noticeably more and smoother power all the way to the red line after just the tune. After the throttle body upgrade, i re-tuned it and it was much better. The car was a LOT more responsive both in the city and on the freeway. I often use it with the winter switch on the transmission shifter since it has a lot more torque. I am not sure about 0-60 time, but on cool days i can't keep the tires from doing a burn out with traction control off. I usually have to let go of the gas and gradually re-accelerate to try to get traction. I have the Hanhook Ventus which are good tires too. Below is the link for the tune and HP claim, so with throttle body it will be a bit more. I highly recommend it. These two mods made such a difference in the car. It is now very adequate on the road. I paid $250 for the tune. www.eurocharged.com/products/chrysler/crossfire-na/crossfire-na-performance-engine-software
@DeChronics6 жыл бұрын
Samir Bachour Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m certain that Winter Mode eliminates first and makes you start off in second or changes the rpms so the car shifts before they get to high. Which should decrease torque, not increase it. Plus, W mode was made to prevent the loss of traction
@samirsmudge5 жыл бұрын
@@DeChronicsSorry, i just saw your comment. I could never find the proper information about the Mercedes Benz Winter mode, but from my experience, it just starts in second gear. I did not notice any difference in shift points (as i have heard) or any decrease in torque. And if i floor it in W mode, it downshifts to first instantly. I actually love cruising around town in W mode. I also like to urban race in it since it does not rev the engine at take off, and does not waste time shifting into second. On cool days i love the smooth pull that pushes me into my seat from the torque. :)

Hey Cory... You should swap out the stock 68mm Throttle body (TB) and upgrade it with the 74mm TB. I don't have the Cold Air Intake (CAI) on my 2004 N/A but I did this swap/upgrade and it feels great, especially on the upper end. I know the swap would match great with your CAI and Cat-Back Exhaust. I did this upgrade last month and it only took 30 mins (including clean up). I paid $30 for the TB on Ebay (free shipping too). The TB I got was from a 2009 Mercedes C Class (V8). Part number A1131410125. For more info check out Team SBSP: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKvCZmiebc-rpqs
@larryespinoza90407 жыл бұрын
paul austin hi there... actually my 74 tb was from a Mercedes S500 (V8). I believe you can snatch these tb's from any Mercedes V8 as long as it has the same part number. As for the intake manifold, to my knowledge it is the standard 68. And I do not think you need to bore out your intake manifold, although that may not be a bad idea. Even with the tb upgrade in my foxbody Mustang (1990), i did not need to bore out my manifold. However, i did stuff a sock into the intake and lightly grind out the outer lip so that there was less restriction of air going from the manifold to the tb. I hope this answered your questions.
