The model in the game doesn't have a handbrake because they didn't have one in real life

The Group A cars were actually already quicker over most stages than the Group B cars by the early 90's. Suspension and tire tech, and power responsiveness are so much more important to rallying than the peak power monsters of Group B.

Absolutely, and you can really feel it with these models

The biggest problem about Group B was probably a leck of technology development with driver safety and engine advancement. They didn't have anti-lag during that era making cars notoriously hard to drive especially in corners. And the cars themselves had the bare basics for driver safety, with the cars having incredibly thin metal for the rollcage to save weight. The Audi Quattro didn't have a handbrake as well.

I might be wrong but the reason quatro slides so much is because it doesn't have proper gravel tires, there's very few rally car mods which do have them as of now, but the Yaris is one of those mods, so that's not really a fair comparison.

Fun video. Didnt know about those AC rally modes, I've got to check them out. Regarding the handbrake. That is a group B car mode? Real Group B didn't have handbrake as far as I know, so that should be why the model don't have either.

Thanks so much! Yeah AC is a massive rabbit hole, the more you dig the more mods and modes you discover! Ahh okay, that will be why no handbrake, must be quite an accurate model!
