I'm living proof of it. I'm Tamil and I studied in NIT trichy where most of my batchmates were telugu and Punjabi, there were 2 friends of mine named Selvamani and Toufeeq, both were Tamil. Even though I had a good friendship with my batchmates, I found it a little bit more comfortable with Selvam and Tou because they were speaking my langauge. But that doesn't mean I'm discriminating my other friends right? Similarly moeen ali might be comfortable with adil rashid. Remember hindus and muslims are a minority in the cricketing space apart from Indian and Pakistani cricket teams!
