What do you know about Teesside university? Do you think studying aerospace engineering at Teesside University would lead me to good career opportunities?
@SA64R
@SA64R Жыл бұрын
Teeside is not a Russell group university so lacks any prestige however, I don't think that is as important as a other factors nowadays. I just had a look at the league tables etc and Teeside seems to be in the top 20 unis in the UK to study aerospace engineering at which is pretty good. So I think it could be quite a promising university to go to

I am from India and am interested in studying aerospace engineering. Can you tell me whether I should write that I will stay in Europe and work for their space program or I will return to work in ISRO since most countries want international students to complete studies as soon as possible and return to their country?

It's complicated actually. Some countries want you to go back, some want you to stay. I wrote in my SOP that I'll be returning, but when I gave the admission interview the head of the department wanted me to stay...even gave me a scholarship that I didn't ask for. And there was an agreement on the scholarship that they don't want brain-drain. So that's that. Here I am now...in Brussels. Studying Msc in Civil Engineering. I've also heard that the French universities take a similar approach. They don't want their international graduates to leave.

As someone born and bred in Sheffield, I'm curious, what do you think about the stereotype of unfriendly/cold Londoners compared to Sheffielders? How would you generally compare Sheffield with London?
@SA64R

I'd say most people are fine in London, no-one I've met has been unfriendly. You get less of random strangers saying hi to you but I'd say people aren't too different to that of other parts of the UK.

Didn't know I was getting interviewed today :D But I don't have a fixed position or role in mind, though I know it'd probably technical as I like to make things. I do want to work in a company that is pioneering things in this planet or I want to be someone working towards improving an existing way of doing things by 10X
