Is moving to Nashville Tennessee worth the hype?

After living in the Middle Tennessee area for just over a year, is it worth the hype?

First of all you guys are the best you put a smile on my face and make me laugh when I watch your videos wish you guys made more. I am from California recently purchased a home last year in Crystal springs Florida went out there and ended up coming back to California think I'm wanting to sell and move to Tennessee. That was my first pick my son rides professional Motocross so I thought Florida would be a good place being that he trains out that way quite a bit the move was drastic for me I literally missed California I think if I would have started working getting out meeting people it would have been a lot smoother but I guess I didn't give it enough of a chance as I'm sitting in California right now on my job I'm thinking California is just so expensive I can't do this anymore I just want to find somewhere I would enjoy and very affordable.

Thank you! We feel really thankful to live here! Haha! That is true it would be expensive to move back, but the option is always there! We’ve both done two big moves in our lives and told ourselves this to bring us comfort and calm the nerves before the move and then we ended up loving and staying in the state for years!

Great video, Ryan and Melissa! We've lived in Chandler for about 11 years now. We're not looking to move anytime soon, but Tennessee is on the short list of places to check out if we do move. In the last year or so, I've felt limited in the places nearby to visit and recreational things to do. We go to Cottonwood, Sedona, and Jerome most of the time but that gets old eventually. Tucson and Flagstaff hold no interest. Any other places, and you're driving 3 hours or more. I wish there were more forested hiking options with rivers and lakes for kayaking. The summers, when the days are long, are 100+ degrees and not great hiking or boating weather. Am I romanticizing a place like TN for more outdoor fun? Maybe we'll look you up if we get out that way!

Hey! Thank you so much! We're SO happy to hear our channel has been helpful for you! When we moved, we only had our cat, and we take him to the vet yearly and follow the vaccinations they recommend (like rabies) so we didn't do anything different before we moved since we knew he was up-to-date on his shot. He's an indoor cat, so we don't have to worry too much about him but our vet here in TN did say she recommends flee and tick because we have a dog now! When we got our puppy, we also followed all of the puppy vaccinations plans and give her flee/tick and heart worm meds. She is microchipped and we have a tag on her collar with her AKC number! We would definitely recommend talking to a local vet for any requirements your cat/dog may need :)

You seem like nice people but promoting TN is not cool. Locals are getting priced out with us being a low income state and people from high income states taking advantage of that. Stop moving here. Improve your own communities.

People can move wherever they want dude. You realize lots of people moving probably got priced out of where they live. Tennessee is still relatively cheap and a big state

@@cmbox1184 You shouldnt be able to take advantage of a lower income state. Each state has its own laws, economies, average incomes, minimum wage, and tax structures. So yes, the people who have been operating WITHIN that economy should be able to have an advantage in their own economy. Most people are not moving here because they need to, but they know they are at an advantage. And no, it is no longer affordable for LOCALS who actually have roots here. It might be for you.

@@jomr4249 it depends on the city, you’re right if you’re talking about Nashville. But that’s BS to claim all of Tennessee is too expensive now. Memphis is cheap and there’s plenty of small towns that I’m sure can’t be that expensive

@@cmbox1184 Memphis is the only area that hasn't been gentrified yet. And Memphis is 4 hours from middle TN and over 6 hours from East TN, it's a different culture. Locals shouldn't be annexed to Memphis because of greed of out of staters.
