The problem in Kenya lies in how we approach politics. Instead of supporting the candidate who wins, we often focus on tearing them down to prove their unworthiness, and in the process, we harm the country. This "crabs in a bucket" mentality, where no one gets ahead without being pulled back, persists because our elected officials, once in office, often lack clarity about their responsibilities. Their primary focus shifts to looting, and when they leave office, their frustration over losing the opportunity, combined with their incompetence, leads them to undermine their successors. If these officials were true professionals serving with vision, they would support the incoming leaders to further the work they had started.We need to change this mindset. Do you remember when Ruto won? He was full of energy and passion, planting trees to help the environment and assisting drought-stricken areas in the north. Now, it's all about nonsense and backbiting, benefiting no one except those who thrive on others failures. This is a shame. We should unite and support him, holding him accountable to do better for the sake of the country. It’s time to end this culture of bitterness and complacency.
