Has anyone been able to identify suras from the Quran and link them fully with specific earlier texts? As in a sura being lifted from an earlier source. Clearly elements of the tales in the Quran can be linked with myths of the time, non-canoncial christian texts, non-biblical Jewish commentaries, but an entire lifted sura and the original source would show more undeniably, that it was a humanly-created religious document. There does seem to be a warner/messenger/self-defined prophet though, but he does not seem very biblically literate.

The name Mahmad / Muhammad as some Muslims correctly point out comes from the word Mahmadin in the Song of Solomon, however it is describing the Angel of the Lord as the Bridegroom of Israel and His appearance. The name Muhammad is mentioned in the Quran to link that name to prophethood. Imagine if the name was never mentioned, that would have likely excited Jay Smith and alFadi greatly. When commanding the prophet to do or say something, God honours the prophet by calling him “Oh prophet”, “the Enshrouded one” etc. And of course when commands are given like “Say He is Allah, the One…” translations would put “Muhammad” is brackets because the verse is indeed commanding the Prophet to say those things… That God did not call upon the prophet Muhammad by name is an act of great honouring…in the end it all boils down to belief, which actually reflects the state our hearts….

The bible is replete with cases of killings, rape, mass murders, forced slavery - allegedly under the instructions of the "Jewish God". Read these verses: Numbers 31:7-18, Chronicles 21:14-15, Isaiah 13:16, Zachariah 14:2, Lamentations 5:11. In the case of Numbers 31:7-18; How do you (as a man), tell that a 3 year or a 9 year old girl is a virgin? By sleeping with her, against her will - right? If this is not rape, what is it? In the bible, there are over 1,000 contradictions. Here are some of them: 1. What did Judas iscariot do with the money he was paid after betraying Jesus? There are two different accounts in the bible! Logically, one is not true! 2. How was Jesus crucified? Definitely, not on a cross. The Jews never used to crucify people on a cross. It was not known to them then. Then, where did the cross come from? Or how many times was Jesus crucified? Read Deuteronomy 21:22-23. 3. How old was Jesus when he died? The bible is deliberately scanty on Jesus life and lifestyle while on earth. Despite having lived on earth for 33 years, he is being portrayed as having lived for 1 month. During the 33 years period, Jesus did everything any mortal did, including sleeping and waking up regularly, playing as a kid on a regular basis. And when he reached maturity, he was circumcised according to Jewish culture- and by a man! Early Christianity did not regard Jesus as God. It was in 400 AD when a Roman empiror (Constantine), who was not in the list of prophets/was not an appostle of God comanded that Jesus must be regarded as a God/Son of God. The name Mahmad / Muhammad as some Muslims correctly point out comes from the word Mahmadin in the Song of Solomon, however it is describing the Angel of the Lord as the Bridegroom of Israel and His appearance. One of the likely authors of the Qu’ran, the Magharians who were Messianic Ishmaelites, lived in the caves of Negev and believed that the Angel of the Lord who wrestled with Jacob and appeared as three to Abraham would again return to earth in human form. Read the absolute, indisputable proof that the Quran is revelation. Quran 20 recounts the story of Musa (as) and Pharaoh’s magicians. The confrontation begins with Musa confronting Pharaoh by pulling his hand from his sleeve and showing his open palm which is white. The magicians then cast their spell and snakes appear from their sleeves. Musa casts his staff, which becomes a snake that consumes the magicians’ snakes. The magicians prostrate themselves and acknowledge that Allah (swt) is the one, true God. Pharaoh responds by threatening to murder them in a peculiar manner. In order to decipher the above described event, one must begin by applying hieroglyphs to the meaning of Musa’s (as) hand. The open hand in hieroglyphs is D46 or drt and mean ‘open hand’, palm. D46 is used in many words including the words dgi. When dgi is spelled as D46-W11-A4 it means ‘to hide’. The pictographs for this word are an open hand, a ring stand and a fatigued man. When dgi is spelled D46-W11-D4 it means ‘behold’. The pictographs for this word are an open hand, a ring stand and an eye. Musa is telling pharaoh that he is going to teach him something that was hidden from him before this in his own language. The teaching was in his right hand which carried the staff, which is the hieroglyph D40; a hand grasping a shepherd’s staff which became the heqa scepter. This scepter became a symbol of the king/pharaoh as a ruler. The heqa scepter is used in the word for ruler or Hq3 (S38). D40 is used in the word for victory D40-Z2. Z2 is a hieroglyph with 3 vertical strokes and means plurality or repeated victories or a very decisive victory. In other words, with this hand which bears a staff you will be defeated three times over. Okay, now one must decipher the meaning of the snake. One of the most popular images of pharaoh is one in which he is wearing the Nemes head cloth which is encircled by a uraeus. The uraeus represents the cobra goddess Wadjet aka ‘the green one’ and ‘the eye of Horus’. Wadjet was the protector of pharaoh and symbolized him as the ruler of Egypt.. The hieroglyph determinative for this goddess is I13 which is I12 + V30. I12 or an erect cobra, the symbol of lower Egypt plus V30 which is a basket or nb. Nb also means lord and every, all. So, when one viewed this crown, one was reading that pharaoh was the lord of all and he was protected by the eye of Horus who was Wadjet. One can guess why pharaoh was terrified. Musa (as), with his open hand was declaring in pharaoh’s own language that he was about to receive some very significant revealed information, which was hitherto hidden. So, when Musa (as) threw his staff (symbol of power to pharaoh) which became a snake (symbol of a deity to pharaoh) which consumed the snakes of the magicians, it was a clear message to pharaoh in his own language that Musa’s god, Allah (swt) was going to utterly crush him, which he did. Al hamdu lilah and Allah (swt) knows best. Verse 20:71 of this story is an absolute miracle that has never been correctly translated. The verse in English says: “(Pharaoh) said: you (magicians) put faith in him (Musa) before I give you leave. Lo! he is your chief who taught you magic. Now, surely, I shall cut off your hands and feet on opposite sides and (I shall crucify you on the trunks of palm trees), and you shall know for certain which of us has the severest and more lasting punishment.” One must be careful to pay attention to the phrases in parentheses, which can be transliterated “usalibannakum fil juzuu innakhl” or literally I will make you the spines/back bones in the trunks of date palms. The verse does not refer to an impalement, crucifixion or even suspension from palm trees. In order to understand the meaning, one must consult the mythology of Egypt. This particular myth first occurred, as far as we can tell, during the 4th Dynasty and refers to the myth of Osiris. According to Wikipedia: ” In the Osiris myth, Osiris was killed by Set by being tricked into a coffin made to fit Osiris exactly. Set then had the coffin with the now deceased Osiris flung into the Nile. The coffin was carried by the Nile to the ocean and on to the city of Byblos in Lebanon. It ran aground and a sacred tree took root and rapidly grew around the coffin, enclosing the coffin within its trunk. The king of the land, intrigued by the tree’s quick growth, ordered the tree cut down and installed as a pillar in his palace, unaware that the tree contained Osiris’s body.” This pillar became the Djed pillar, which, according to Wikipedia: ” It is a pillar-like symbol in Egyptian hieroglyphs representing stability. It is associated with the creator god Ptah and Osiris, the Egyptian god of the afterlife, the underworld, and the dead. It is commonly understood to represent his spine.” So, Pharaoh was threatening his magicians that he would cut down the trunks of palm trees, hollow them out and use them for coffins for his magicians. The magicians would then become the spines of the palm trunks.The magicians hands and feet would be cut from opposite sides to insure that this palm trunk coffin would not become a Djed pillar coffin. The Djed pillar represented stability and lopping off the magicians’ hands and feet on opposite sides would ensure that the victims would be unable to balance themselves thus making their spines unstable. In other words, they would die like Osiris, but never advance to the Field of Reeds (heaven) because they were unbalanced and would never get past Thoth,. Thoth was a god of death and the god of equilibrium. He reported when the scales weighing the deceased’s heart against the feather, representing the principle of Maat (truth), was exactly even so the deceased could enter the Field of Reeds or heaven. The story of Pharaoh and Musa is told in the specific images of Egypt under the dynastic pharaohs. The Quran refers to their hieroglyphic writing and to their myths which were unknown in 7th Century Arabia. Hieroglyphs were not deciphered until the 19th Century CE and until that time, the myths of Egypt were confined to their undeciphered literature. The story of Musa (as) as it is recounted in the Quran is absolute proof that the Quran is 100% revelation and 100% accurate.

He had extensive trade with Byblos where he acquired cedar to for his building projects (firawn al awtad in the Quran). He also acquired magicians as this area was famous for its shamans and their snake spells which were found in the Pyramid of Unas (5th Dyansty). The Egyptians controlled most of the Levant at the time of Khufu. So, we know Firawn's name was Khufu because his wazir was Haman or Hemiunu in Egyptian. Haman means priest, and according to the Quran, it was Hemiunu who was appointed to build the 'tall impressive building or pyramid'. According to Wiki: "Hemiunu (fl. 2570 BC) is a man who lived in ancient Egypt, and who is believed to have been the architect of the Great Pyramid of Giza.[1][2] As vizier, succeeding his father, Nefermaat, and his uncle, Kanefer,[3] Hemiunu was one of the most important members of the court and responsible for all the royal works. His tomb lies close to Khufu's pyramid." This date indicates that Musa was a Canaanite. The Canaanites founded the Kingdom of Israel circa 900BCE with the Omride Dynasty. These Canaanites identified themselves as Bani Israel (meaning citizens of the Kingdom of Israel) whose kingdom fell to the Assyrians in 723 BCE. At that time, to escape the Assyrians, many of these Canaanites/Israelites fled south into the Kingdom of Judah where their history was fictionalized by Judean scribes mostly during the Babylonian exile. BTW, the word firawn in the Quran does not mean 'pharaoh' which means from the great house in Egyptian. (pr (house) + aA (great)). Firawn means from the house of wailing or pr (house) and 3wn (wailing). That is because the crown prince, Kawab, died before he ascended the throne. One must really know the history and culture of the people to which the Quran refers in order to fully understand these narratives.

I really appreciate the work Jay and Al Fadi have put forth, but the more I watch the more I realize that they use facts to suit their theories (also, al fadi’s critical thinking skills seem to decrease with each episode), because you simply can not understand Islamic history without considering and understanding what happened to prophet Muhammad’s family after the prophets death. His grandson, Hussein, imam Ali’s son, was beheaded by the so called “Muslim Caliph” of that time and had his head put on a javelin from Iraq to Syria… all of the prophets direct descendants were either prosecuted or murdered, sparing neither woman or child, except for those who managed to escape. The reason is obvious and is the most common reason of all, most of the so called Muslim Arabs simply sought to capitalize on the traction the religion had gained and wanted to be in power, and given that they were corrupt in nature, they wanted to eliminate the prophets lineage since the true faith and practice was something that was kept with them. You want the truth behind Islam, look towards the prophets household. Most of His companions were treacherous, just like Jesus’ disciples. Also, I really don’t get why Christians try to defy Islam and Muhammad… it is the only religion besides Christianity which requires faith and belief in Christ.

Bible word counts differ substantially… Yet Revelations threatens God’s consequences if the text is altered. The word counts of the complete Bible text differ, obviously between the different translations, and sometimes within editions of the same translation. It actually says very specifically that you (Muhammad pbuh) are not a manager over them and what they do is between God and them. if you are talking about details of past battles, isn't that what everyone did during battles throughout history?
