I don’t get some of these comments! This is your livelihood. You educate us on all of this, free of charge. Reselling is a lot of work. First you have to have the storage space, then you have to inventory, then take photos, the you have to post it and you have to have the time to reply to buyers. Then you have to have all the packing materials and boxes then you have to go to the post office or whatever way you are doing delivery. And then you have to track it all and declare it on your taxes!!! I mean how can people say that KZbinrs have ruined it for us? When KZbinrs are teaching us how to do it ourselves and why are those people watching if they don’t like it? I think you and Jess are kind, lovely awesome people. Plus, I’m all about up cycling and saving stuff from the dump or the trash, so why not teach people to make the most of what they have and reuse things and make some cash? ❤ grrrrr

@johnwayne2103 Жыл бұрын
All thrift stores are going the way of Ebay. I have even had conversations with people who work at those places but they don't make the prices. This stuff is donated and if they are going to turn it into eBay then resell on eBay which they are starting to do. Everyone is under pressure to make more money but again the stuff is donated you didn't pay a thing for it.

I collect old toys mostly ones from my childhood “1970’s & 1980’s” and I also sell/trade off any extras or stuff that I don’t want. But my specialty is fine and vintage jewelry also watches and most of the time I can tell if an item is gold, platinum, silver etc but sometimes you need your jewelers loop but what I’ve experienced is the min it comes out the prices increase or worst then that the pieces you pick are gone over with a fine tooth comb lol 😂 So I don’t use it much at sales. Here’s a example I went to a jewelry and purse sale at senior center yesterday and they priced everything cheap so I ended up spending $50 the total price was $32 but I gave them a little extra and in the 18 pieces I bought 2 pairs of earrings where not gold and I ended up with $360 in scrap. Here’s another thing…. Have any of you sold at like an antique show or garage sale etc and had someone say “Oh they don’t have prices marked on their stuff so I’m not asking/buying because they do that just to mark it up depending on what you look like?” I HATE that the worst! I don’t price shit because I usually have hundreds of pieces of jewelry and I don’t like the stickers on my glass or old toys and don’t get me started on video game cases lol

I noticed more of the estate sales that ran by companies and some yard sales are basing their prices off eBay asking prices. I wonder if it’s because there’s so much reselling content is out there now. I thought about using my GoPro to make content but more than half the time people in my area don’t like recording OR they assume they’re a famous KZbinr and jack up the prices (I heard them say one price and then change it when I try to get a pile/bundle deal).
