The Viper I bought didn’t have any documentation of the supposed Hennessey 650R engine package. So, I took it to the dyno to see if it was all it was supposed to be.
*Edit: I realized I didn’t really answer my main question… Did it make 650 at the crank?.. well, close. It’s generally accepted that a manual transmission car will lose @18% from crankshaft to wheel horsepower figures. At 526 whp, that’s an estimated/calculated 641 crank horsepower. So, for me that says 650 is very possibly what it would make with good air, fresh plugs, and an optimal fluids temps.*
