Neymar is unbelievably underrated by the looks of these comments. Neymar broke the UCL assist record in 1 season, he's been involved in 12 UCL goals this season, and his performance against PSG was just spectacular. He's been very near the top for the past 3 seasons. First season he tied with CR7 and Messi in UCL goals, and he scored 39 goals overall. Helped Barca to the treble. Last season involved in 61 goals in 41 games in all competitions for Barca and helped them to the double. This season he's been creative as ever. He's created more chances, more key passes, more assists, completes more dribbles, than Messi. Not to mention he's the most fouled player in the Europe, winning the most free kicks and penalties for Barca in the process. The "Neymar gets carried by Messi and Suarez" argument is absolute bull shit, and it's been refuted multiple times. For me, Neymar is #2 best player after Messi. However it can be argued as to why Neymar is better than Messi in the present.

Yeah, the majority of Messi's are stat padding, which is why he has scored 14 of Barca's first goals in matches this season, scored all of their first goals in the five group games in the champions league games he played too. Messi this season actually rarely has scored goals that aren't important either to the result or stage of the game when they were scored. In just over half of his games he has scored important goals in those matches, so that proves it is not the majority of games where he has stat padded. And again, Neymar is not a wing back. Like I said to you before, Messi is the main man at Barca so that's the way it is, just as it was when Ronaldinho was Barca's main man and Messi was the one doing more running. Also, Neymar is still not as good as Messi at dribbling in the tightest of space in central positions. In wide areas is where he mainly thrives. In that respect he has been great this season. Nope. Neymar assisted just 3 of those 14 opening goals. Neymar including penalties won, has assisted 11 of Messi's 39 goals, while Messi has assisted 4 of Neymar's 14 goals, which is a slightly higher ratio. Not to mention, Neymar has missed a number of chances Messi has created. Messi clearly has been Barcelona's most vital player this season. He also had 8 successful dribbles in the last match. You then for Neymar will say he is the best in the world because of his dribbling and creativity, saying goals don't determine performance. That's where you contradict yourself. Difference also is Neymar has players like Messi and Suarez to put away the chances he makes, where as Messi has players who don't take theirs for Argentina. Also, since when was Brazil just Neymar? Coutinho scored a fantastic goal in that Argentina game to put Brazil 1-0 ahead and as a team they dominated. Gabriel Jesus also already looks of more use than Higuain and Aguero for his his country. Neymar is by no means alone. That was also Argentina's first loss in qualifying with Messi in 16 games. Without him they have just won 1 out of 8 games, while they have won 4 in 5 with him. And he is yet again lumped with another clueless manager. Messi isn't scrounging off anyone. Neymar also you like to ignore wants to play with Messi. He doesn't want to go to another club. i would say right now Neymar makes a greater impact than cr7 on the pitch, but not messi. Yes he has an incredible game against psg, but that's only one game, we need to look at his overall performance. Neymar's dribbling skills improves a lot, but this season he's having trouble finding the net (again, dont just look at that one game against psg). If you really watch the game, messi has been saving barca's games more than anyone on the team, while cr7's influences on real's games has dropped significantly this season, for the past few years he's been focusing on only scoring goals, but this season his goalscoring hasn't been as superb as his other seasons.
