I’d say you can explore more since it’s not as big of a deal if you buy a shoe and end up not liking it. Also, you’ll have extra money to play around with if you were gonna buy the real shoes anyway. Because I buy reps for some of the more expensive color ways i allow myself to experiment more with different styles

The Travis Air Force is super basic, but I agree with Welty - if I were a big fan of Travis I would want the sneaker for the relation to the music and the album. If it was any Eminem album I’d be all over it then lol

I find it crazy that a store i have shopped in for over 10 years in END is being name checked all the way across the pond. I remember first going to End on High Bridge in Newcastle and the shop was tinny but the guys in there where top quality. Still to this day have Barbour coats and icecream tshirts from there. Everyone at END must be doing something good if you guys are recognising them.

Reps are being normalized because sneakerheads that want to wear their sneakers do NOT want to pay ridiculous resale prices on said shoes. If I buy a $1500 sneaker, why would I wear it? Why would I waste $1500 that I would NEVER get back because that sneaker is no longer deadstock? Meanwhile, I can just buy a near 1:1 replica that I can beat and rebuy whenever I feel like it. For F&F pairs, sure. There can be something said for validation or what not, but some of us love the look of the sneaker. But in general, reps are a godsend for the average person. Bots eat up hyped releases, so I’ll turn to a rep seller if I REALLY want to, just so I can wear it.

The ISPAs were designed with sustainability in mind so that you can easily dis-assemble the shoe for recycling purposes (because the use of glue makes breaking shoes down almost impossible). So there was a specific functional purpose to that design.

47:35 I don’t buy fakes/reps/UA’s……it’s like buying a bootleg of a vinyl album I want for my collection. I’ll download a digital copy but having a bootleg copy won’t do it for me. I need the hunt and experience of finally getting the car into my collection. That being said……WHY DO WE CARE SO MUCH ABOUT WHAT SHOES PEOPLE BUT AND WHY?!?! We end up sounding more pathetic than the people buying reps when we get so upset about something that literally has ZERO effect on us. Besides, a real sneaker head knows that if you see Red October Yeezys or Freddy dunks there’s a 90% chance that they are fake anyway. If you’re not stepping out of an equally expensive and rare car or if you have on clothes from the mall I doubt you spent the cash or had the connects to get such a rare and limited shoe. So why do we even care?
