Some of you most likley don't know about the ninjala Anime that has been airing weekly for about a year... -It's barley known, I was lucky to even know it existed at all -It follows the plot of the 2D shorts and that one 3D short that was posted on the oficial channel -The previous episode gets removed from the channel and the next one is posted -it's only subbed, which is really unfortunate because I would love a dub :( -It's REALLY GOOD -People have re-uploaded the episodes, pleas watch the show if you can!

This game is the definition style over substance. It had a strong identity with an incredible artstyle, fun and colorful world, memorable characters, and a catchy soundtrack. But playing the game was miserable. You can tell the developers were passionate for this idea they have, but don't know how to run a live service online-multiplayer game. Not to mention being stuck to the Switch of all systems killed it's growth to reach an audience

ummm....yeah, first of all, the level system actually determines who you're matched with not the battle pass. The battle pass is separate. Once you get up to level 5 or 6, kiss those bots goodbye because, it's going to be extremely hard playing against the players in the later matches you will be going into. Also, you probably should have tried this game out on a weekend since that's when the featured battles are usually active. They're like special game modes that are a little different to the main game and surprisingly enough, they're actually pretty fun not gonna lie. As for the combat system, yeah we veterans tend to avoid that rock paper scissors mechanic and have learned actual combos for the weapons we use instead. Also, having a bigger weapon grants you a new ability depending on what weapon you are using. The ability is either temporary or permanent for your information. Also another reason why the other players we kicking your butt the entire time was because they had better shinobi cards than you. Up to 3 or 4 shinobi cards at that, while you had only one that everyone knows is a card that isn't that good at all and would easily take advantage of that and exploit it. Finally, the last reason why these players were kicking your ass is because of a new feature that has been added to the game. This new feature is called "lab buffs", and let me tell you this my friend: we all HATE lab buffs. These "lab buffs" make your weapon way stronger than it should be while also making it unfair for other players that don't use these lab buff such as newcomers like yourself since you haven't discovered them yet. There are some players in the game (myself included) that prefer not to use these lab buffs because it seems like a crutch. I'm glad you gave this game a try though and you're welcome to play it and learn how to get better at it by asking other players that play the game such as NazaF21 or CAJMAN777777 who are also content creators that are available on KZbin such as yourself. They are very nice people so don't be scared to give them a shout. Anyways, I'm sorry I made this comment way to long but I hope I explained it well for you to understand how the game works.😅 Oh and one more thing! I know you already covered the fact that this game has an anime but it also has about 8 cartoon episodes available on their KZbin channel where it dives into a bit of the lore of Ninjala, so feel free to check it out!

As somebody who has played the game since season 1 and now I barely play but yeah indeed it is absolutely ass Also the game has collabs every now and then plus there use to be a somewhat active ranked community but after the infamous gum lab was added to the game it dwindled although it was already going down before that was introduced

I forgot that game existed! I think I heard about it from watching Nintendo Direct or Indie Showcase and wanted to get that, but for some reason I didn't. I also didn't expect there to be a comic inspired style and the battle intros to resemble those of Splatoon 2. This video also reminded me of when I tried imagining what a battle royale mode in the 4th or 5th Splatoon game could be like.

Is Ninjala a Splatoon rip-off? No. Is Ninjala a good game? Also, no. Look, Ninjala has actual servers, but at what cost? -dead on arrival -Story mode is bad AND costly -terrible mechanics -online feels WORSE than Splatoon 2, despite having true servers -spend more time on loading screens than actually playing the game -pay to win -all while shelling out money that should have fixed the game to other IPs like it’s a branded Band-Aid It’s sad, because there are elements that could make it a good game, but I guess the higher ups don’t see that, so we get a half-baked experience that is also BURNT, somehow.

@@NO.10162 The hitstun lasts way too long, endlag is very exploitable, the RPS parrying can grant you shield, but only when it feels like it, and being disrupted when you’re about to use a Special or Ninjutsu is PUNISHING, since the game treats like you have used it, even if you actually haven’t and just pressed the button to use it.

@@gameboy3d943 the way I understood the mechanics: s-energy is your judge, jury, and executioner. You need to conserve as much as possible to engage in active combat. This is also why your radar is used to see how close an enemy is in relation to you. It allows you to make a choice as to continue your progress or back out and avoid conflict. The hitstun and endlag is long to help give better reads on enemy movements as that is the way to fight. The s-burst mechanic(rps system) is used to turn fights around given you've conserved the s-energy to do so (which is 5 meters). Some weapons during the s-burst have a super shield on them. This is indicated via the shield icon on the directional buttons (this wasn't in earlier versions for whatever reason). This guarantees extra security on your rps. It's a bit cheap, so I hope they balance it, but that's just a quick explanation. You can also escape the rps by pressing l assuming you have the s-energy to do so. Catch my drift? Also, I'm not sure what you mean by "being disrupted while using your ninjutsu is punishing". What do you mean by that?

Not Rocket or Mixer which can be disrupted anytime, I mean Ninjutsus like Potent Poison, where others can literally hit you in the first few frames before you actually use it) Also, easier said than done, managing S-Energy. You need it to reach to drones, which rewards you with more S-Gauge. More S-Gauge, more movement (Big weapon at 8 bars). However, trying to reach them uses a lot of it, making you vulnerable. Want to parry? Oops! Not enough to run away! Oh wait, it’s a sound hammer user, so it can just IGNORE parrying, if it wants to. In Shinobi City, there’s a hot spring that boosts your S-Gauge, but that’s time wasted for what could be destroyed drones or KOs. Worse still, if it’s 4 to 6 players in a match, because that’s where you really feel it being a Drone Game. It was bad, to the point that the WHOLE GAME was all about hunting Drones, roughly a year ago. And this is just one of many problems, because keep in mind. The game isn’t bad because of one big problem. It’s bad because several problems accumulate making a worse overall problem.

I think that the game started off with splatoon based roots but then they began to spread out with new ideas, and concepts. For those who haven't played it yet and still think that its a splatoon bootleg, You really need to try this game! In fact- most of the people who are really good at this game are also huge splatoon fans!

It's always very jarring to see a newer players POV of the game, it always gives me flashbacks to the first couple seasons of ninjala, i've been playing since launch and i do agree the tutorial does no favors and the game is very unfriendly to new players, but and it's a big "but" once u get past the initial learning curve this game can be incredibly fun, I commentate on both community and official tournaments for this game and have been for the past couple years and i've loved every second of it, this game may not be for everyone but it certainly holds a place in my heart

No, Ninjala is clearly not a clone of splatoon because: 1. Gameplay: in Ninjala, you have to defeat the most players to win, in splatoon, you have to work with your teammates to cover the most ground through shooting ink. 2. Mechanics: In Ninjala, you have to defeat drones to increase S energy so you can make ur weapon bigger to deal more damage, in splatoon you have you recharge your ink by swimming in it, and you can charge up ur special by covering turf. 3. Universes: Ninjala takes place in the near future, where the descendants of ninjas are hiding from the law, and they consume “Ninja gum” to enhance their abilities, at the cost of becoming a child. Splatoon takes place in a post apocalyptic future, where humans have gone extinct and have been replaced by evolved sea animals. 4. Story mode: Ninjala has several episodes that tie into backgrounds of different characters, in splatoon, the protagonist is tasked with saving the great zap fish from Octavio, and in the 3rd release, Grizz.
