I ordered one and have used ever night since. The connection seems very strong. Dropped it a few times already held up very well so far. Quality I come to expect from Olight. I would recommend this lantern to everyone.

LED's are handy but the cold harsh light they emit is unpleasant for general lighting. A traditional lantern creates a much nicer atmosphere.

There are warm-tint leds as well as cool-tint ones. You need different ones for different things.

Liked the look of this from the Ranger Tent camp. Great touch to be able to change the bulbs 💡, I imagine this lantern would attract monster flying bugs lol

We use this everyday with the flame bulb on my nightstand before bed. The flame bulb puts off quite a bit of light. It lights up a dark room with no issue

A little bit spendy for my kit but I know a lot of people that use Olight products so I have no doubt that it's a first class product. I really need to grab one of those head lamps that you have on another review as i've seen other people (mainly automotive repair types) use them. My favorite camp lantern is a little Coleman LED "Micropacker". It runs off of 3 AA batteries (which are included). I've used it camping once for a 3 day outing and at home during countless power outages. I can't say how long i've got on this set of batteries but it's at least 60 so far. I've had it for several (at least 5) years now and still haven't needed to replace the batteries. I was so impressed with it that I purchased 3 more of them and gave them to family members to use as emergency lanterns. There are at least two models. The yellow one has pretty white LED's in it but the silver/black one has a very warm yellowish white LED which is very pleasant. Not sure of those models are available in the UK or not.

Just bought the candleer with the foam case. Wish I’d seen this first. Those candles are bloody expensive. No idea how much this little lamp costs but it’ll be worth every penny. Right I’m off to order one now. Cheers and keep doing these. They’re brilliant mate 👍

LIGHTING choices are making me DIZZY!! LED choices with recharging through wireless connections are great. I started camping with a Boy Scout D-Cell torch with angled head that clipped to a belt. Not much light there! Nor did those batteries last very long. Next, pressured propane lanterns. Huge amounts of glaring light...PLUS heat if one sat close to them. Good bit of weight AND volume there. O-Light lamps are amazing, starting with the headband models in particular. Light weight, illumination turns with your head, bright, penetrating light that works for minding a pot or pan, watching the trail underfoot and for a useful distance ahead. In areas with frequent power outages, a table model such as this one truly fits the bill. Same for in an emergency evacuation bag. I have such an inventory of obsolescent lighting and a DRAWER full of batteries of varying sizes. Maybe I should SORT and SIMPLIFY...

I may cut back on flash light reviews a bit as I find head torches and lanterns much more useful for camping.. flashlights can get a bit repetitive haha

ok, this lantern has some nice feature but i think it is too big. candle flickering for me is not needed. changeable akku (maybe two or three 18650s), half size and an analog power selector like a turn knopp from 0 to 100% together with a stable, rugged, waterproof design - all that for a moderate price and it will be mine.

Maybe a bit more demonstration in the dark next time, please. Think I'll grab one of these, the battery life is very appealing to me.

Nice light but like all Olight products, they are insanely expensive for what they are. I mean let’s face it, a cheaper brand will do the job for a quarter of the price! Not this product but who wants a ribbed torch that vibrates??? Don’t answer that!!! 😳😂😂

They are great products.. I don't really talk about price on things as its very subjective, the light sales are good though. ribbed... yes please lol

@Flexaret4 жыл бұрын
Looks like Olight make the same mistake that most make, put the battery compartment under the bulb so the light casts it's own shadow, right under the lamp. Obviously a paraffin lamp needs it's power source underneath the light source, no requirement in a battery lamp though.
@kentsurvivalgearreview5864 жыл бұрын
good point! I know they read these comments so who knows for version 2
@andyrr304 жыл бұрын
Add to that a clip on shield so you can stop the light being 360 and reflect back to the area you want the light would be my suggestion
@Flexaret4 жыл бұрын
@@andyrr30 Good idea Andy, yeah I'd take the UCO form in an Olight,, if the battery compartment had a clip off section you could fit to the globe then you could use it on the ground with the light section on top, basically light on the bottom for hanging, light on the top for on a table/the ground etc.
@DFDuck554 жыл бұрын
One thing you can be certain of; if it's Olight it's grossly over priced.
@MOOSEDOWNUNDER4 жыл бұрын

A lot of money for a one trick pony imo sorry. I use a couple of LED camping lights with a USB battery bank that can be thrown in the car console to be charged. They will basically light up the whole camp and the light is excellent. Cost is minimal and I have the backup battery to charge phones or whatever as well. In a pinch my jumpstarter pack would run them for ages as well.
@mananddog98843 жыл бұрын
Which charger and lights do you use? Thanks
@oldbloke2043 жыл бұрын
@@mananddog9884 The lights I use are Oztrail Glow Worm. 2 bulbs with hooks and switches. Cheap but the long cables can be a bit of a pain in the rear end. There are any number of LED lights with USB connections on the market these days. Same with phone charger/battery packs.The main one I have is a Cygnett 20,000 MAH but there are plenty of options. I have an adapter that goes on to my power tool batteries that goes to USB so you could carry them and I have a NOCO GB50 jump-starter in my vehicle. A lot of things these days have power out via USB including a battery charger for AAA's etc that is charged via USB so there are plenty of options.
