Looks like u all guys are with big capital, recently lost heavily in Index options due to spikes or volatility...Have no idea why the spikes happened but think because of lot of option volume & retail traders...Aaj options band karo...kal retail trader cash mein trade karega...wahan loss karega...phir woh bhi band karo...Phir retail trader investing mein loss karega...phir woh bhi...Nahin woh nahin...wahan bade Log hai.

It’s too early for a podcast on this subject and way too drastic to say whether options trading is dead. Let SEBI come up with their changes and then evaluate what could be in the offing.

So will options trading be restricted to select few who have huge capital as in prop firms etc. Somehow it feels the regulators work hand in glove for players like you. You can make money as you said cuz you can size your position accordingly owing to big capital. The mentality is big players dont want small players to come and earn money in options. As options is a zero sum game. You are just saying people are not aware of so called strategies which you seem to promote under the garb of knowledge(read your mentorship program & other ancillary revenue streams) If retail trader protection were the intent then taxation & other thingd would have been relevant. May be regulator could come up with laws that no one can initiate a naked position etc.

Who can do Trading should not be based on what capital they have. It will be as equal as people with less money cannot use flight for travelling. There are many small retailers with high skills and better trading psychology. Similarly there are many people with better capital but yet loosing. Instead stop all those nonsense App like Jungli Rummy, Dream11, etc. where huge amount is rolling. Eligibility for trading should be based on some basic certification from SEBI and account with broker can be opened only after providing such certificates.

I trade only nifty and banknifty.....have read a lot of things, complete Varsity modules, a book and many webinar. I trade with small capital, so I'm sad and happy at the same time, sad for myself that even with my knowledge i won't be able to trade for some time until i accumulate capital but happy for my friends who lost money due to their unwillingness to learn and trade expiries through YT streams. Even the moon has a dark side.... Happy that regulators are actively working though i was hoping they would increase the lot size and not the margin..... nevermind let's pray for the best🤞🏻

Option buyers are the one who loses 99% money not the sellers ... Increaseing the lot size or it's price would do nothing to the option buyers because they are coming with the small money..... The problem is nowadays retailers with dedent money understood the game and became the option sellers and to remove them Big players are taking this move... Only Big Players want to Rob the Retailers and since they are turning to seller with small money and hedge positions it's becoming hard for the Big player to Rob Retailers with decent money....

This is true to an extent..... But don't conclude all option sellers are making consistent profits.... In fact no data will be there to prove sellers win all the time.... This is a speculation created by Fin influencers to sell their crap courses........ None of the option selling strategies gives consistent profits after 2020....at the same time buyers not always make losses.... If you believe that then you have learned nothing about the option market all these days....

Truly , not much effect on F&O.. Vivek Bhai is anyway a trillionaire, wont be impacted even if the minimum lot size is made as 1 Cr.. Only those having a minimum of 25 lacs of capital ( including the same required for adjustment ) will take courses of Chetan bhai.. 5 lacs 10 lacs wale have to forget F&O , be it for hedging or covered call or strategies.. Kuldip Yadav rightly said, someday the ministry will come out with a logic that 99% of candidates do not qualify for IIT, why waste their time , lets make the entry fees as 5 lacs.. 😥
