@@obaayaapapabi6272 Hi. Yes it is possible to have superficial and deep dyspareunia at the same time. For example having fibroids or endometriosis can cause deep dyspareunia and if a women also has thrush or vaginal dryness this will also give superficial dyspareunia. The sensation of the pain/discomfort can sometimes be complex to describe for women and the classifications are there to help to differentiate the pain and causes.

I know you highlighted endometriosis, but it would be really great if you could touch upon her lesser known sister adenomyosis. I was diagnosed 6 years after a laparoscopy and found little information online, most GPs I have spoken to have never heard of it. Luckily I found a good support group on FB 😊 I find that women’s health is often overlooked as we’re too scared to talk about it. Us women need raise awareness on these conditions so it’s much easier and quicker to be diagnosed!

I only have this after I orgasmed. I think it has to do with the muscles of the vagina being tense before the orgasm and then relaxed after... I guess the muscles work as a sort of buffer between the vagina and the other organs.

I have issues with this sometimes and my Dr has told me I have chronic bladder inflammation.. it’s very sensitive to touch, inside or out. Different positions can make it worse. If you push on your stomach about 2-3 inches below your belly button and have pain/severe uncomfortable-ness that may be the culprit.

A bit of a strange question, but as an asexual, I am highly uncomfortable with anything entering my body down there, and so if I ever need an examination that involves, like you said, a doctor having to use their fingers, would there be an alternative? It would be completely off putting, and might even scare me out of going to the doctor.

I have had pain with sex for the last few years. My GYN says it is due to lack of estrogen since menopause. Well this doesn't make sense to me because sex was enjoyable for the 3 proceeding years after my change. I was non sexual for several years after being widowed and the Dr's other comment was well it is probably a psychological issue since the death of my husband. Also makes no sense because as I said I was active and enjoyed sex for a few years before this issue. Listening to you talk has helped me realize I need to change doctors. Because obviously this one is not listening to me. Next closest doctor or clinic is an hour away but I now know something can be done to help and I don't just have to "deal with it because of my age". I have an inverted womb, this causes issues with both external pain, ( my perineum tares and bleeds) and internal ( throbbing for hours afterwards) I went for medical support ( to a female gp) she was aggressive in her approach, I could tell she didn't have a clue, she said she would refer me to a gynecologist, yeah like that actually happened! Turns out she forgot. My partner and I stopped having sex because I could no longer tolerate the pain and bleeding. Our relationship is now non emotional and dying a slow death.

Hi Doctor, so glad I’ve found you, I’ve going through the change so that’s causing a few problems. The pain I’m experiencing is at the perineum entrance hurts on penetration and during intercourse feels like I’m cut and sore, had cystitis like symptoms two in the last month. Been particularly unwell this week, had antibiotics then 3 mg sachet of antibiotics this week one day treatment, to help with the burning and stinging when passing urine. I also felt very fatigued and bad headaches I assumed from the antibiotics. I sound like I need to be in a Tin lol 😂 any advice appreciated thank you for these informative videos 🙏🙏❤️

Buy lubrication, but be careful if you use condoms. You need to but water based lubrication because silicone based lubrication can cause the condom to break.

Your cervix can move up and down during cycles! I find mine will drop lower during menstruation, and it feels sore when anything's bumping it, like during penetrative sex.

I haven't seen this video yet but I wish I had 12 yrs ago. I have endo and even using tampons is painful. So you can imagine how sex is like if you're not really aroused, or anxious about sounds, smells ect, and not allowing the cervix to retract. This should be taught at schools, and women need to stop talking about sex being painful as normal esp close to orgasm for the male so many women I've heard say it can be painful I just took it as the norm until a ruptured ovarian cyst got me a diagnosis and everything became crystal clear. My boyfriend at the time, an angel of a human being. Thank God for him.

Lol. I remember having to explain to my friend when we were about 30 that she didn't actually pee out of her vagina. Good video. Very helpful and comforting. Dr Simi, it was such a great talk.. really helped a lot. I have not had sex in last 3 yrs and when i tried to have, i found it painful on the right side. not sure what it was. what it could be doctor?
