So, to make people move their money from 10y bonds to SPY, the index should return 10,2% at least. But PYPL is riskier than SPY so the return should be higher. This is why CAPM is 12,8%. Everything makes sense. But for some shares CAPM is so high, that discounting just throws down their price.

CAPM accounts for risk. Some businesses, like Tesla, are riskier than others based on the industry, strategy, capital structure, etc.

I noticed CVS has started accepting PayPal and Venmo as payment methods. I've been using that to maximize my Chase Freedom bonus categories, which includes PayPal this quarter. I suspect they'll do alright. I'm no longer adding to the position, though.

I'd love to know what Paypal's competitors are. Do they actually have a moat? What if Amazon introduced its own payment system (or haven't they already?). I don't know how many other fintech companies out there could do sth similar. I'm asking as a shareholder.
