Receivers are getting by with pushing off, grabbing and tugging. DBs have to disguise it better. He just has to learn the little nuances of using the oops tripped ya on accident, learning which refs are flag happy and using hands more in a Houdini fashion. He will get there.

Depends on how much you're hyping him. For a de facto late 1st rounder, he's doing fine. If he was covering like ass while giving up hella penalties, I'd say it's a big problem. But he's covering pretty well. About a month ago, I read that up to that point he was allowing a 48 passer rating when targeted this year. He's not elite right now, but he's showing reason to believe he can be.

Nothing wrong with JPJ. We've seen him lock down. Y'all are being hella reactionary. Whenever TA calls a terrible game (like this last one) it's "look at his past work" or how other CBs will do the same to our guys like Pickens or CA getting blasted for no reason and get no call. It's the refs and NFL targeting, not him.

It's not reactionary if it's a reoccurring theme, he's a penalty machine dating back to his rookie year. Him and Brodrick are the singular reasons why we are top 10 in penalties. 2 things can be true he is a lockdown corner but he does have a penalty problem.

I agree with the flag against Iosivas. That was panic-move even though i think this shouldn't be called because it was uncatchable. The other ones can be called, but shouldn't. Higgins and him always had there hands on each other. I think Porter needs to keep his type of playing, but needs to be a bit smarter with it - Higgins did a good job on selling those penalties - with very bad officiating.

However he got there, he’s now a PI vending machine. If you’re an OC on an opposing team, press the button and collect the penalty/completion. Can’t have that in the playoffs. The NFL is going to favor the receivers because they want big flash plays. Many DBs have figured out the line. Porter hasn’t, and now that’s his rep. Bad scene for the Steelers. And yeah, the Pickens thing should’ve been called, but he did stumble first, and the DB took advantage. Obvious on the replay, maybe harder to see in real time. Cam Heyward and Russell Wilson won that game, though. Wouldn’t be denied. Good leadership.
