I heard from some great sources that all PPF films take on a yellow discoloration after a couple of months. Now that it's 2 years from the upload of the video, did you notice any yellowing?

Gotta check your sources! Xpel and top name brands don’t yellow. And if they do they have a 10 year warranty. But all is good here!! Still matte still sexy baby

Allen (Xtreme) gave me a price of $850 for front bra and headlights...ridiculously high price when everyone else was $350-500. Seems as though Chris put these guys in the limelight and their prices skyrocketed.

Nope! I removed one that was on there for 7 years baked in the sun. Just with heat it removes easily no problems

Is PPF alone enough or do you need a ceramic coat as well? If so do you do ceramic coat before or after PPF?

Thats mixed because some people will say ceramic coat on top of ppf is overkill. However you’re investing a lot of money in the ppf and the ceramic helps keep it clean and prevents any issues. You do ppf first and then ceramic coating!

The next area im looking at is San Jose area any recommendations of shops that can do these on a Tesla? Completely different. Coating is like a thin clear coat that protects the paint. Ppf is a thick plastic like material that goes over the paint and protects it more. Try Yelp!

Hello . Brand new to tesla here . Do I really have ppf or ceramic coat a tesla ? I’ve owned multiple luxury vehicles and never did any of these treatments and they seemed to last fine . In your honest recommendation do I need any of these treatments? Also can I use a normal car wash for a tesla ? Thanks v much

@@jimfwong It's about $100-150 an hour. For example to do my Model 3 front bumper, fog & headlights, and side view mirrors, I was charged $400. That was about 3.5 hours total labor...but some of these shops double the price as soon as you tell them it's a Tesla.

Great video. Can you let me know the shop you used and any specific person I should contact To get a quote? Doing all the study and research on Model Y and planning to do a test drive and order. It does not look like the shop uses a pre-cut template on the ppf. Did they use cutter to remove the extra ppf material?

Most when they could. The rear bumper corners are not wrapped so I get some dust in there but you cant tell from far away
