As always good stuff. Food for thought, one of the reasons I went for digital products was to avoid personalisation as I have that in our manufacturing, even though I know it will take a lot longer and lower margins.

With APOD, personalization is so easy! Honestly, I didn’t offer it before discovering them, but now I’m all in because it allows me to charge more and its automatic.

I don't share my shop names for a few reasons: it could hurt my conversions (this is my livelihood), people will try and copy my designs, and, unfortunately, trolls will report them out of spite. However, I'm completely transparent about my earnings, breaking down the numbers and showing my progress over time, including the backend and scaling process. In my older videos, I've included videos and pictures throughout my Etsy journey to show as much as I can. I'm also open about the industries and niches I sell in, so you know I'm not just making random suggestions. I diversify across various areas to maintain steady revenue rather than experiencing ups and downs from seasonal items alone.

They do but good luck figuring out how much the item and shipping will actually cost. I’m looking at Gelato because of it’s clarity re: pricing/shipping.

Yes it does, and it’s easily accessible even without a membership. So I’m not sure what the other person is referring to.

@@EtsyMentor It's the conversion to AUD that is confusing and really doesn't reflect the actual costs - been on the losing end of that a couple of times. I just wish they'd find a better way to do it. Once the listing hits Etsy, if you're selling worldwide, you need to recalculate the prices and shipping manually to ensure they match the USD prices on Printify. Plus, the cost of the items themselves can vary widely depending on where they're being supplied. A simple example is Comfort Colors t-shirts; from a US supplier it's around US$15, the same shirt from an Aus supplier is US$21.00, and the Canadian supplier is closer to the Australian price. That means using Etsy's domestic and international prices won't work. Seems the simplest option is to either only ship locally, have multiple listings for the same item (one for each country), and hope you've got the prices and shipping cost right, or choose a POD platform that handles it better. If I've got this all wrong, I'm happy to be corrected. Maybe I'm missing something?

I totally understand your concerns about shipping and product pricing, especially for international orders. With the new merger, though, things are set to improve! Hopefully, they’ll fast-track the changes so we can all start saving on costs and have more shipping options.
