Is Project Zomboid worth playing?

1: play survivor or sandbox mode. Apocalyps means you die fast, often without a chance to really learn what works 2: in setting menu, there is a part where you can set when a target gets a green outline. Standard setting is firearms only, but set it to all and now you lnow when a swing with a melee weapon will make contact. Distance still means if you hit the sweet spot or do less damage, but at least you can see if your swing will hit 3: Rosewood has the least zombies of the starting locations, West Point has the most. 4: sound attracts zombies. Running makes sound. Don't think remaining silent is the answer: Unlike a T-Rex, a zombie can see you standing still.... 5: try to kill zombies one at a time. Use the space bar to shove a zombie. Works without a weapon too. Sometimes a zombie falls. Stand on its head and spacebar again to stomp. Fighting behind low fences will cause a zombie to trip over it, offering its head to your boot. Beware: it IS able to lunge while it falls. When kt is getring up, its still vulnerable, but keep training. 6: try to kill all the zombies around you, so you end up with a safe zone you can retreat into when too much zombies spot you and come for your brains. Break line of sight around a house and they will travel to the place they last saw you. 7: standing on zombies prevents them from getting up. Push one zomboe to the ground, stand on it and push the second one. Once the second one falls, you have time to stomp the first one. Zombies standing on fallen zombies prevent them from standing up too. You can fight three at a time: push the first over and stand on him. Push the second one over as the third one approaches, so 3 stands on top of 2, while you stand on top of 1. Clobber 3 , stomp 1, then deal with 2 who got back on his feet. 8: those pictograms on the right are moodles, not Pokemon, so try not to catch them all. Many give severe debuffs. Exhausted and drowsy both take 50% off your damage 9: sit on the ground for a while to remove exhausted. Look behind you by holding RMB and rotating the mouse. Looking around while sitting does not cost energy. Drowsy can be solved by sleeping, but a safe location is advised: kill a few dozen around your house first, because they can break windows and doors... Try to sleep on the top floor for some added safety Loads more tips but try these out first

@@Voiderra and the devs been talking a lot about how build 43 is almost ready i believe for beta testing, which is changing a whole lot of the game, i suggest looking up a youtube video on the new content coming, 'tis an exciting time to get into zomboid.

Also you can Hold E to climb through windows or Climb up tall fences! if you sprint stay into a low laying fence you will do a vault

Thanks for Good video man! From what I've seen while playing, it's a pretty cool game. It may be a bit hard for beginners but a good amount of games are now days. It also has a lot of mod support. Like a lot of mods.

It's pretty hard for beginners, traumatic if you're terrified of zombies(like me), but once you get the hang of it, it can be pretty fun especially when playing multiplayer with friends

@@Voiderra well if you don't tinker around the sandbox options they will either respawn (takes quite a long time if I'm not mistaken, i always turn it off) or migrate from other places (usually to urban areas)

This is arguably my favorite game. You bare minimum need to learn the controls. 😂The first couple of weeks of survival are the hardest part, but it gets much easier once you're set up. Best of luck in the future fellow survivor.

Do the tutorial it will tell you 1% ... have to move slow, pick your combat, kill the zombies in your local area, extend the zone, loot .. get better weapons, clothing and stock pile food for the time water and power are cut .. accept you will die 20-30 times before you get the hang of combat, forget guns, use hammers, baseball bats, wrenches what ever but practice the melee combat and never fight more than three at a time ... first time i played this game i rage quit after a day of trying ... came back 6 months later and now is one of my fav games with more than 2000 hrs!

For a beginner Apocalypse mode is unforgiving. But for experienced player Apocalypse is kinda chillmode...

lol, yeah ya really should have taken that tutorial. Ive racked up 2k hours in that game so far and still going. Its kinda grindy if you focus on a lot of skills, and the 'end game' is basically just hoarding stuff. Its a great game tho.

Games fun for a little bit goofing around but the zombie ai is only fun if you’re a complete sweat at the game. Zombies remember your last position and can essentially see you through buildings with base settings. If you are just starting out you will die continuously over and over again trying to figure out the mechanics. Go to game settings and find “multi-hit” it makes the game 10x easier and it won’t take an hour to kill a train of zombies. Turn the zombie spawn down because even at the lowest setting my girlfriend was getting pissed how many zombies there were, seemingly endless.

also a tip, when walking from point a to b if its super far you can right click the ground, press walk here. then press f4 to speed up the game and click walk around in second speed, which can save a lot of time and save a bunch of energy going between places.

It's not for me. It feels aimless and hollow. The combat is boring. The grind is long and feels pointles. Remember when games had stories, quests, etc? This isn't a game. It's a sandbox where you have to make your own game and pretend it's fun
