So by removing vap from the team, not only you losing vap damage (though you gain overload), you lose xingqius ult damage and his shield...

@@chriscain7333 The overload was always there. The rational rotation made xl do both overload and vape on electro charged aura. But chevreuse replacing xq loses the vape but you gain 40% res shred, 40% atk buff, and if c6 she gives 60% pyro/electro dmg buff too.

Her C0 output simply doesn't cut it anymore. The game changed a lot since her release, and so did the abyss. Modern abyss HP pools & enemy lineups would be considered insane on her release, not so much now, considering the recent 3.5 - 3.7 experience. She's still good as a hyperbloom bot, but investing in her C2 is generally a waste, considering that even some older units like Hu Tao can surpass her hypercarry teams even at C0.

As a casual player, interruption resistance is nice in the Abyss and she just takes care of one side every time without having to think too hard. However, I spend most of my time in the overworld where its not great to have most of your damage tied to a burst. Hoping for a constellation but lost my 50:50 to Jean.

The thing with these kinds of discussions is that it all needs to be taken in the context of what you want to achieve in game. If it's just clearing the abyss, Raiden is just as strong as she used to be, since it's not like they nerfed her or made the abyss harder in a way that she lost value. If you want to get all sweaty with speedrun competitions and whatnot, then definitely you have to compare her to the newer, stronger carries. Personally I just built my Lisa and Ninguang enough recently, just to clear the abyss with a couple more characters I liked but are considered weak. The game just doesn't require enough power for these kinds of comparisons to actually mean anything outside of the speedrun scenario. C2 Raiden was always overkill. It's just for people who like her and want her, specifically, to hit a bigger number. Nothing has changed in this regard.

I think National itself is just a very strong team. So most dps/sub dps can be slotted as the last slot. Like I’ve been using Navia National and it’s soo good. It’s my first time using a national team too xd.

Not really, abyss can clap newer player, if your teams are not properly made, ignore those who played the game for years, 10s of thousands resin spent, and telling you "you can 36 stars with anyone".

I love how so many content creators when trying to play down a character's use, will bring up the argument "just wait for this other character to re-run because they are better!" Then when the other character's re-run comes they say, well you should wait for " 😆. It always happens, the "just wait" game. The truth of the matter is people looking to spend "now" don't want to wait or may not even be around 4 to 8 months form now to take advantage of the "just wait" advice. They just want to know if picking up a copy of the current character would be a good thing. And I can whole heartedly say that getting a copy of Raiden (C0-C3) is not a bad choice. If you are considering it then it will probably be good for your account. Anyway good video! Tough topic but an interesting take on saying Raiden is probably a skip because "X" is a better choice.

I pulled Raiden just yesterday for Eula to replace Fischl, but her damage is just not that good (R5 catch, 50%CR, 100%CD, 240ER, 1800ATK,electro damage goblet). She is hitting 4k damage when she normal attack after her burst, that's so bad, not even worth using on field.

If have 2 prototype Ambers (ideally with refinements), you can replace Kokomi with Furina and use the pAmbers on both Nahida and Neuvillete for one of the best teams in the game

Raiden is still good but feels like a slightly above average electro Ayato nowadays. Good in many teams, not the best in slot for any in particular. Her being a pull if you like her character now is insane. In terms of Natlan I hope they powercreep Xianling so hard she goes to find the energy recharge she's always missing...

I get what you're saying, we all get bored of using the same characters sometimes, but imo continuous powercreep isn't going to make the game feel fresh very long for anyone who already can destroy all the content anyway. It's natural for it to happen but Genshin needs upgrades in other areas to rejuvenate the game. I'm glad they've been experimenting with new character mechanics recently--but the game is still feels stuck in the past in a lot of ways.

When i first pulled raiden last time she was here i didnt have a 4 piece set for her so i just built her for hyperbloom but almost never used her except maybe abyss cause i preferred kuki. After some months i built her and had fun for awhile but now she is back to hyperbloom for my Neuvilette team since his team is the only one i prefer raiden over kuki for hyperbloom

Raiden is a support, a sub dps and main dps in the same time. She buffs everyone, she is the best battery of the game, she is amazing assub dps and can be good as main dps. I don't like when she is only compared to character like Neuvillette or Hu Tao because those type of character only do damage. Raiden does more than just doing damage.

Imo, Shogun is only good as battery and enabler. Since abyss became DPS check, Shogun C0 or C1 doesn't deal enough damage as DPS. The only way is to have C2 and signature weapon, and even with that a lot of DPS rn (and more in the future) will do better or similar at C0 with 4stars weapon

comparison with neuvilette isn't accurate as it is lot more expensive to get a signaature weapon in genshin compared to constellation and hoyo is tailor-making abyss for neuvilette/hydro(things like putting enemies in line so he could hit them all...)

an invested Yae Miko does the same thing as Ei but arguably better. You can use Wildsith with her it works great. If you want to use a electro just for hyperbloom bot there are other options, such as Kuki and even Fischl.

In the Era of Multi wave abyss. She is Meh (im talking about Main DPS Hypercarry) She is broken in C2 yes. But after that One slash Big Nuke which destroys the 1st wave and then when 2nd wave start she doesn't have that One shot Nuke Slash. hence she doesn't feel good and kinda Meh. The Era of Damage per Screenshot is long gone and so does Raiden.

It's not even hard to play him with his c0 because you can move him around and not stay in one place and let the enemies hit you. Raiden weapon isn't even that good because it just slightly better than r5 the catch

I just got raiden she lvl 80 with 4 5 6 tallents for now(2 days in) blew avrage artifacts. She does 49k ulti followed with 3.5_9k damage per hit on her attacks. She does as much dmaage as my ayaka but takes a bit longer like 1.5sec. My ayaka is more invested. But with raiden my xiangling is doing 2k more damage per hit of her ulti and so many good things. Don't listen to nobody if u like the play style definitely get her she's awesome. Also has insane synergy with collei and bennet and fischul for some reason

I would argue that Ei is one of the weaker ones. Why? Because she craves both crit values AND energy recharge. This is is extremely hard to achieve with good stats and can take you your entire journey of playing easily. This is not the same as Nahida wanting Elemental mastery main stats, and Furina and Zhongli wanting HP. She is ofcourse hitting hard if you invest in her, and the catch is still a really good option just be aware that you need to put investment into her for her to do work.

apart from ER sands being rare(i still use atk sands on her because my best ER sands is best suited for xiangling) you get 220 ER on a baseline (45 sands, 55 EL, 20 Emblem), so..

@@Alatyreon 220, is not enough to cap out her damage the issue is to get all those stats on the same piece not get one of the values up. so 2/1 crit ratio as well as ER this is not true for Furina as an example she needs mostly HP to function really well. Nahida needs basically only Elemental mastery at 1000. Zhongli only hp. Well you see a pattern. This is very likely something they have figured out looking at statistics of how many has a built Raiden Shogun of the millions of players that pulled for her. Those are much fewer than you think.

@@alexanderericson8628 I don’t see why the same logic doesn’t apply to Furina? You can throw a Raiden into a national team and it will clear abyss even if she’s poorly built. And conversely, you would optimally want Furina to do her own damage as well as buff the team, so she wants crit stats as well. Zhongli can be a shield bot and Nahida really only needs EM, but I don’t see why the idea of needing crit stats doesn’t apply to Furina.

It's the opposite,her benefitting from more stats means your less likely to get a dead stat for her. If your minmaxing to the core,it's difficult but if your looking for an acceptable level of stats this arrangement is probably better since benefitting from more stats means that you have less chances of getting artifacts with dead stats and more artifacts you get are usable on her.

I always deem her as lackluster since launch, I had to keep injecting myself with copium while I was playing her. Not to mention those circular blinding purple lights that constantly assault your eyes all the time, so I just use her as a support, until Kuki came along and completely took over. So now my Raiden has been benched for like 1.5 years at this point lol. Honestly kinda regret pulling her.

In most cases, the reason why she had gotten so much weird unwarranted hate (not from you, but in general) was because she didn’t work w/ Beidou. Then from then on people were unfairly criticizing her kit. I feel like, as w/ a lot of other characters, our perspective is built on how their abilities are presented to us. There is a major oversimplification of her abilities in the community. Not saying she’s the best thing since Kazuha, cause there are even people who can’t stand him, but there’s more to her than what you’ve probably been introduced to. As for the blinding purple lights goes, there’s not much I can do to change your mind there (maybe lowering light sensitivity, idk), but she has quite a few good teams outside of hyperbloom that yall could put her in.

@@picthis870 I wanted to love her. She was the first Archon I was excited to pull for. I never considered to use her with beidou so it doesn't matter. I just wanted her to fill my energy and do good damage. But how am I gonna be satisfied if on her burst, after all that flashy legendary sword animation, she does roughly the same damage as hu tao e with out vaporize. Heck even itto deals like 3x her damage and I don't even like him. But the biggest turn off for me is actually the fact that her dps is tied to her burst. I prefer e skill infusion like a lot. That's part of the reason I still use Ayaka and Yoimiya untill now. It's just more practical imo.

@@krokodil5131 As someone who has Itto, this man does deal a LOT of damage if he’s built correctly. I also have, not really a dislike, but reservations when it comes to damage tied to bursts because it felt limiting. That’s why I pulled Ayato and till this day still use him. It’s convenience above all else. Her damage tied to her burst was a bit of an inconvenience to me, too but it was offset by being able to get it back relatively quick. So, I thought it wasn’t too bad. Then really, it falls on personal preference. I have had a different experience with Raiden, but that’s not going to be the same with someone else. I completely respect that.
