They have been removing good features, which is what makes the word "fun" alive for those features. They've recently removed custom gift box messages which I believe it ceases the word "fun" at that case.

I agree with you on every point! the toxicity in public games is next level and If you're a new player playing for the first time it is 100% going to make you not want to play again. for me personally the amount of amazing people I've had the pleasure of meeting amazing people becuase of rec room which outweighs the toxicity for me,, though I understand not everyone has the same experience sadly

As someone who starting playing rec room in 2018, this video perfectly describes the issues of rec room. Toxicity is the main issue for me. Can’t join public lobbies without seeing people getting cussed out. (Even tho the inflation sucks too) Btw your editing is awesome and hilarious. Hope you grow big 1 day. As someone who co-owns a room with my group of buddies, I can agree with you on the toxicity and the glitches. Granted you mentioned map bugs, though me and my buddies have had glitches with the maker pen and costume mannequins as well when making stuff for our room. From parts of mannequin pieces would randomly size up or shift when testing joints, the camera would dissappear sometimes when saving something, to the select tool refusing to work. It's bugs like these that made me and some of my buddies stop playing rec room. I'm not sure if they patched some of them, but upon returning to rec room recently, the costume mannequin glitch still looks like it's there. (Either that or the mannequins I have saved have it while others are ok)

Yesterday Rec Room glitched and was flashing between a black screen and the normal game, which would have been upsetting on PC, but I was on VR and it hurt my eyes. ;-;

As a former Rec Room builder I am disappointed to say that the game is not in a good state now, the whole new page is filled with cashgrab games with creators who have millions of tokens from the jokes of the games they make. Small creators on Rec Room who are really talented and I have seen them and I'd say I was one don't get any recognition due to the current state of the game, they used to be good with their videos showing underrated maps and cool stuff but they don't do this anymore. Personally I will not come back to the game unless something changes. If any small creators are reading this reply and tell me what you think of this?

I love Rec Room and I will always love Rec Room. However, I have seen a stark decline in my personal playtime and that sucks. You can see this in my channel where I'd upload weekly and now I barely have the motivation to upload anything RR related. I've been wanting to do videos on other games that I enjoy and it really shows how much I currently play the game. again, I feel like I need something new to come back to and to enjoy the game again. It's not that I've lost interest in the game, I adore it, but I've lost the wonder I once felt. So in my opinion; Rec Room is still fun, but I am waiting for that next RR golden age whenever that is.

kinda of funny this vid came out before Griggy's vid came out (my friend and I are doing a rant video on pricing in rec room ) but I just wanna say that buying 500 tokens in rec room is 1$. while the creator exchange program exchanges 1,666.66 tokens for 1$. That means if you buy the whole set of Michelangelo (with FBA items) with just paid tokens... is over 118$ (with RR+ it's 106$). I also would like to point out that while yes inflation overall has affected a lot of people and jobs. but at the same time, I don't even think RR employees would spend 100$ for 5 cosmetics.

Remove some power from Rec Room mods who can ban you from rooms for doing the slightest thing that annoys them. They’re the primary reason this game is falling off so hard. Take a note from VR chat.

and on top of the game's lag, don't even get me started on how catastrophically garbage the new UI is. For one, it's tedious as hell using it in VR because of how small some of the buttons are and how unoptimized it is. plus, as a person with terrible vision, it's impossible to see some of the text without squinting really hard because of how thin the font is. I've been playing since late 2019, and yea rec room has definitely gotten less fun and has lost a lot of what made so fun and memorable to me. MakerPenFun, the AMAs, weekly challenges, the old UI, all just gone :(

Yo, i feel like the meaning for lag is because the quest 2 is a older headset. Yea at the same time Rec Room has some lag issues but i believe its partly the headset. I have been making the quest 2 for 4 years and ive seen it slowly decline in performance. But im not gonna to defend Rec Room, they have some bad lag. So with Rec Rooms lag combined with the quest 2 its terrible.

For me its just not fun to play anymore because theres no good rec room maps being made anymore and all the good ones are ones i've played, are just the same Ignited skibidi toilet maps, or they're just abandoned and dont even get me started on bugs holy, like ill join a game of paintball play one match and then the game just crashes for no reason.

i believe that all in all, rec room has changed to be more corporate as a whole. they release "rare" items over and over again, making "og" players items feel useless. limited time items just show up a year or so later, so theres no point in buying anything really (+ the terrible prices). theres that and then all of the things they do to make the game "better", which in my opinion just makes the game worse.
