First run, 220,4hp at the wheels with 40,5hp loss. Third run is 236,8hp at the wheels with 35,9hp loss. Thats 4,6hp less loss than in the first run. So it's not a diffirent from 16,4hp at the wheels but 'only' 11,8hp diffirent. Not bad for a filter and a tune on a stock NA car. What gear you meassured? It goes reallt fast through the rev range. I think it really depends of your engine and what's the tune from the factory, if they took all from it from the factory then there's no point to remap it. If u get +15hp just from the remap i consider it a win 😂

exactly, if the engine has the intake well done / well tuned (sending pressure waves into the intake valves to feed it slightly more than atmosphere pressure already) you can even hurt the power or make not make anything at all.

It depends on how much power you had originally.. if you have a 140 HP, 15 HP is a win (10%), but if you have a 300 HP engine, it really doesn't worth it (5%).

Bruno is a legend! Remap is always worth it, as it will reassure you that everything is running alright and provide further reliability. Some times you gain extra HP as well.

It depends very much on how the car is tuned from the factory. I can say that back in the days in Australia where we could buy a SS Commodore with the LS1 engine, there was a lot of horsepower available with a tune because they were deliberately hamstrung by the factory tune so they could get easy horsepower in the more expensive HSV models using the same engine. Plus they only used single cat converters per bank and used rich mixtures to keep the NOx emissions down. Cars tuned more optimally from factory have much less to gain.

Good video but what a low quality production. Such a shame. It's like someone is recording from an old shakey mobile phone. No voice overs to explain what's actually happening in the video for those who aren't as "car savvy". What car throttle once used to be isn't that any more. I feel like at the end of the video that you think "is that it?". We're left wanting more but all for the wrong reasons. We want to see meaty videos made without plant based products.

I wonder what you could get if you took a base model Civic, Corolla, Elantra, or Jetta and perform similar upgrades and test? What would be the HP/torque increase and would it eventually damage the engine like leaks or cracks?

And that's in hp.Torque is almost unaffected(as a number) and the friction losses at the third run,are 5 hp less than the 2nd and 4.5 than the first(don't know how can this be happening).

Idk how much this would cost in the UK, but in my country a remap is around $180 + dyno runs. I can't even buy a decent filter for a cold air intake for that money lmao. My E39 540i went from around 272 engine hp and 440nm to 317hp and 465nm, with improved throttle response and a bit of a decrease on fuel consumption. So in my book, it's worth it. I mainly went there to have my O2 sensors disabled, as my car doesn't have cats, and I also upgraded the exhaust and put on a K&N filter (for the cooler intake noise, not to increase hp obviously).

Remapping a n/a engine is not worth it. A major flaw with the throttle body pipe is it being made out of metal. The result is dramatically increased intake air temperatures as it gets heat soaked. Especially in city traffic. There is a reason for all intake components being plastic. Higher air temps mean less oxygen and less power. Much less power. The pipe needs to be made of plastic.

It depends heavily on if the factory tune is actually aggressive or... if its actually for somewhere like the EU... There is the kia ceed 89HP 1.4 petrol that is actually detuned from 109HP of the kia rio which uses the same engine

My experience tuning Alfa Guilia 2.0 Turbo makes me skeptical of what I see in this video. Stock Alfa showed 267 on the Dyno, and I did not do justa single run, it is a good practice to have at least 3 runs to get the baseline of other stock or tune (and I observed +3 hp difference bwtween the runs with the 2nd typically showing the highest number). K&N drop in filter showed literally 0 meaningful increase in HP or Torque (not taking into account the noise between runs). After that the guys did boost, ignition, fuel etc. tuning eventually with 10-15 runs throughout the day seuqzing 296hp - a mere +29hp on a TURBO car, not NA car. Oh, and by the way, they had a good Bapro dyno, supposedly the same one used by Alfa/Maseratti factory. And in this video the guys just make some trivial changes to the intake and get +10hp on a NA engine... Nah, that doesn't make any sense. Oh, btw, I had M3 E46, never did a dyne of tune on it, at the time I did a lot of research (hoping for the low hanging fruit) and I had this conviction that simple intake and tune won't do any good to NA engine, any increase would be within the margin of error. One needs to get really serious and get a whole bunch of expensive hardware mods, and all those low restriction K&N filters are no better than racing stickers... The numbers I see in the video are a mystery
