The MAS Oil is still my favourite retinoid. Recently I've added the Geek and Gorgeous Agame 10 and then The Ordinary high strength retinal into my routine every second night instead of the MAS Oil. I'm using all your hacks and recommendations and haven't had any adverse reactions. However, the MAS Oil has given me the best overall experience, of comfortable skin the next morning, which is so strange as I have very oily skin and live in a subtropical part of Australia. I'm hoping that you'll bring out a high strength Retinal Oil. ❤

I use a 10% niacinamide from Minimalist daily and I stopped using a retinoid (I WAS using Cerave Anti-aging formula) because I was concerned about too much product on my face. I love how the niacinamide makes my face feel. Should I go ahead and look for a good retinoid to pair with it after all? I do have some dark spots snd fine wrinkles here and there. I have good, clear skin that I inherited from my mother, God bless her!! But as I'm, ummm, no longer the young, sweet thing I used to be, caring for my skin has become a priority! Suggestions? I LOVE your videos and shorts, so thank you for those!!!😊

For the body, if you can get it, the Gold Bond Age Renew Retinol Overnight Body & Face Lotion is really nice. I can’t seem to find it in Canada, but luckily I have neighbors who travel down south. I would love to try the Transparent Labs one but their shipping to Canada can only be described as highway robbery! I may try adding the MAS oil to my Vaseline Extremely Dry Skin Rescue body lotion though! And my biggest mistake in skincare was jumping into a 5-6 step routine when I barely washed my face before. No way to tell what worked or what irritated my skin!

I am so excited about the transparent labs recommendation! I have been looking for a new body retinoid product and I have tried a few that a lot of people love and while they weren’t bad I personally didn’t love them and was actively looking for what to try next, so I am so excited to check that out!

Love your videos! Since you don’t have sensitive skin - do you think tufts benefit from prescription Tretinoin - like with Dermatica? Would that be better than the Retinal option? I thought yea cause all the research is with Tretinoin? I can’t decide whether to stick with Retinal by the ordinary at 0.2 OR go with actual Tretinoin by Dermatica (retinal is really gentle for me). Thank you ❤❤❤❤

Hi hun, I wouldn't worry about keeping up with all the information its about doing what is right for you.. I would opt for a nice all round serum with multiple actives which will really elevate your routine without worrying about too many products.. I create my own (the multi active super serum) but there are others such as the one by numbuzin (their vitamin concentrated serum) and the bubble day dream serum which I also recommend.. love xx

I've been pretty good as far as the retinol sins.. Peter Thomas Roth is on QVC twice a year with his 6.7oz bottle of his 1.5% PM Fusion Retinol. I apply to my body when it is still WET , which helps it penetrate and lets me use less.

Really interesting and helpful video Rob - thank you! Def will think about using a retinoid on the body. In terms of what you can use alongside retinoid products - I wonder if you'd consider doing a video about what goes well e.g which inactive Vit C can be used with retinoid use at night and recommendations of specific products. That would really help build a safe routine with suggested products as it can still feel a bit scary when you aren't well versed (me!) xx

Here in Australia retinols are no longer recommended by dermatologists because of the growing evidence of a link between retinols and Osteoporosis, both the acne retinoid drugs and the serums.. If you do an internet search it will come up.

Actually if you research more on this topic most dermatologist continue to recommend the use of prescription retinoids when used for the right people and there is no report I could find into changes in prescribing habits based on what you say.. please do feel free to link anything you wish to and I will of course read it.. love

Um 1 and 4 😂. I do take my retinal down my neck and chest and rub the remainder on the front of my hands but that’s the limit. I also find using retinal quite boring so I have to push myself to use consistently. Much better last couple of years using Geek and Gorgeous but with Tret I was a nightmare as I really didn’t enjoy it. Hope you’re well Rob. Thanks for another cracking video 🎉x

I just started using a body lotion called Medix 5.5 retinol body cream, as it was recommended in an article i read. I've been using it on the inside of my thighs and the backs of my hands to help firm and tighten the skin. i apply it once a day, after I get out of the shower. I haven't been using it long, but am quite surprised that I've seen definite improvement. It's not plastic surgery, but it does help! The information i had read says that it has 5.5% retinol. Have you ever tried this product?

I have always used prescription strength tretinoin for the past 7 years I wish I had started earlier, but I think due to prescription strength I have seen some really good results. Hello my friend Rob, your complexion is glowing ✨. 🫶🏽. I started using a skincare ritual at the age of 13. I had cystic acne and fortunately was taught to use all of my skincare on my face, neck, chest and backs of hands. I started using retinol for my body recently from your recommendation. I so appreciate your advice, channel and all of the information you share with your audience. Aren’t we the lucky 🍀 ones 🎉👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. I agree, it is important to know the strength of the retinol you are using. I use prescription strength cream with The Ordinary Retinoid 2% Emulsion coupled with Adelaide acid serum. This has been a game changer for me. I so appreciate you. 😊. Cheers 😉🌷

Maybe I'm lucky. Maybe it's just time. In Fall 2020 I had the normal irritations starting Retinol. But now if I skip Tret for say 2-3 months just because I fall off the wagon. Zero irritation restarting Tret nightly. Fell off the wagon of skin care routine last spring for example. Use highest strength non compounded Tret.
