As someone who has been on ROBLOX since 2009, and currently has 3 mil in value and 3.5 mil RAP. ROBLOX has made trading and profiting from limiteds much harder in recent years, especially because they don't release limiteds anymore and don't have limited U sales like they used to. Back in 2013-2016 I designed clothes, I would make an item I knew would sell well and then I'd make an ad. Then I would reinvest the profits in limited U items (like during the old midnight sale or july 4th sale) and in running more ads for new items. This was back when tix were still around. Basically, most people would buy my clothes with tix because back then you'd get them for free each day you logged in. So I had a ton of tix to throw at ads, and this made it so my ads got a lot of impressions, even over other users who were betting with robux. Then I just didn't touch my robux except to use in limited U sales. In those days I was also able to buy the Classic ROBLOX Fedora for 900 rbx in 2009/2010ish and the Valkyrie Helm for 30k tix. Those items ended up being worth a lot years later when I started trading. So the only reason I got where I am is because 1) luck and 2) I was around back in earlier days of ROBLOX when it was easier. I don't think designing clothes is as profitable now because botting is a lot worse and people don't get free currency just for logging in like they used to, so F2P players have less to spend on clothes. Also, nowadays, people are very weird about others copying their outfits, so they private their inventories. Back when I was a successful designer, that was how most sales were made. People digging through other people's inventories to find fashion inspiration and buying the same 5 outfits someone else bought hours earlier. Without that avenue open, the only other way to get into trading is to spend money upfront to get limiteds, and with how far you have to go to get some of the coolest items, like Frigid Plains Horns or the Yum face, I don't think it's possible or worth the effort anymore. I hate to say it because as silly as it sounds I'm proud of everything I accomplished on my ROBLOX account. That's why I don't sell my items on the black market. I wish the next generation of kids could experience that same grind and payoff, but for some reason, ROBLOX wants to make it so that it is impossible to earn robux.

it still is extremely profitable. im only worth 80k, and a month ago to this date I was worth 40k. I think trading is only dead beacuse people THINK the holding period affects you, when really, it doesnt that much. keep up the w content highly

Trading has been killed by Roblox's greed. They might say they added holding periods because of "hackers" but the true cause is to dwindle the amount of Robux a player can earn from trades, in hopes to make them buy more, or have to continuously buy premium to sell or trade a limited item they acquired, but is still on hold at the time of their memberships expiration. They should remove these holding periods all-together.

Its dead. It's nearly impossible to make any robux in a stagnant market. UGC copies ruined it. Roblox decided to stab players in the back who had made investments in their game over 15 years ago. It's just going to lose all of it's rich players and high value customers. Why would anyone ever invest in a company that clearly doesn't keep it's promises?

@@HauntakuTV this was the best advice back in the mid 2010s but it's not anymore. ROBLOX has made it near impossible to earn robux on the platform anymore. the only option is to buy in and at that point trading isn't worth it. it's not like you can devex in the end.

I came back to trading this year with 100k value to begin with. In the past 3 months I’ve made 320k robux in value. If you send 60-80 trades a day and go after stuff that you think will raise you’ve got a good shot at profiting a nice bit. I wouldn’t trade with less than 10k currently though it’s just too hard.
