My thinking about this unit: This unit is often more on infantry and light armoured vehicles and is best comboed with a sniper team or radio tech as you can get the rocket truck to shoot the rockets from a safe distance.

You mean grunts recon tank/car etc since most people use radio tech like artillery. It’s simply too expensive and vulnerable to be used like that

My take on this is that: For people with "rusher" playstyles, Pairing with units like Recon tank for a terrifyingly mobile anti infantry. Or for people who mainly use artillery for "anti enemy infantry blob" purposes. My proposal on how to counter act the cons: For the RNG/Spread, The targetted tile is always hit by all four rockets, Even if it's just the splash damage For the friendly fire, The rockets tend to deviate/auto aim to avoid friendly fire For the range, Constantly moving it is fine and it's best used on maps like Crossroads with a lot of roads as the abundance of fuel allows this For cooldown, Only shoot when you are certain it's worth it (Will hit atleast 3 enemies, Don't worry about spread as rocket truck basically cheats) For ones having trouble finding out how to use it, Think of it as a mortar team on tires

The targeted tile is actually not always hit by all 4 rockets. (Unless they changed it). It can hit diagonally from the target, making it miss.

I like using rocket trucks to raze cities to be easier to move tanks. you also forgot an important detail that rocket trucks could also be used to immobilise stronger tanks

FR I agree but its expensive and the main vulnerability is that u need to lower it during refueling which can be targeted by enemy armored vehicles if u dont refuel it dies which can be a pain if someone is using it to bombard enemy units from ur main attack and it can be used as a tool for spying if the enemy doesn't have AA

Id say rocket truck is decent now it getting shot by a 1 hp rifleman wont remove its hp bar and it deals decent damage and if ur lucky u wont remove all ur units morale and kill that 1 3 veterancy grunt that u knew was gonna die anyways but u still tried to save becaouse it had 3 veterancy. Like rocket truck is good and really effective at pinning down targets and sometimes mobility killing some armored or not armored (biker) but still vehicle units, its also effective at deleting that one annoying sniper or low base hp unit and it can also be used to finish off enemies and thin out hordes but for stuff like grunts unless ALL of the rockets HIT the grunts it can only be used as a way to demoralize the enemy also might get their hp low enough to kill them with some other thing. With tanks it sucks even more it has like 5 AP so it aint killing tanks (especially the chonkier ones) any time soon nor far, it literraly can only be used as a way to demoralize the enemy tank maybe mobility kill it but other that its bad against tanks also it isnt exactly armored nor healthy so if the enemy tank manages to get the rocket truck in range well the rocket truck is gonna die a horrible death of being smited my god himself aka a tank shell to the face also 3 turns to attack or well 2 since when u attack with it you used it that turn and you skipped the wave so you can use it every 2 turns but MY GOD IS THAT NOT FORGIVING, YOU GET THE SLIGHTEST OF BAD LUCK AND BOOM UNUSABLE FOR 2 WHOLE TURNS AND (unless ur in guest rebellion) YOU ARE GONNA FEEL THE PUNISHMENT OF THE RNGJESUS also it has fuel but its forgivng like 10 (or 8 fuel i dont remember) is EXTREMLY forgiving, you are rarely gonna run out of fuel with it. That still doesent save it from still being able to run out of fuel Rocket truck can be EXTREMLY punishing with even the slight miss of a rocket because you were un lucky and against tanks but over all its a pretty decent unit and can be helpfull you just gotta pray to rngjesus cuz either else its gonna look like the rockets are gonna miss intentionally not because its oH YoU gOt UnlUcKY.

Rocket trucks dmg would be guaranteed on exactly tile you select even rocket are unaccurate splash dmg it is enough to always hit that tile but splash dmg isn't 100% dmg it is guaranteed
