I have 5k hours on console edition, mainly as a solo. It’s not as bad as people say, the worst part in my opinion is the amount of cheaters using mnk n scripts and the amount of massive zergs. If they released community servers with admins checking for scripts it would be a beautiful game.

Horses and minis will NEVER come to console. You would probably get them, if they came out with a Rust 2.0 specifically for PS5, and anything new that comes out. Double Eleven is contractually binded to add updates that are playable for old generation. Mini copters, and horses are not it. YOU MIGHT, get horses on a very slim chance. Mini’s will cause old Gen to implode.

Different experience all together, console players dont care about cost/profit, onlines pretty much dont happen so regular builds are not only more or less worthless but actually detrimental as you lack enough walls doors, same for bunkers anyone worth worrying about will go straight through walls anyway. Our trio base doesnt have a shooting floor anymore as it never got used, small tower for heli and 72 rockets side 64 down, basically a block of walls, split the loot rooms to each side so they can only hit two per side or down increasing the cost by two armoured walls per two loot rooms, all triangles so the main floor is essentially garage door honey comb. Basically just build for the offline. Plus side is that they leave insane amounts of boom/gp etc lying round so snowball really easily and making 600HQ a day to feed the base isnt a problem, again from people just having tons lying around.

Never got to play Rust on PC since mine died.. I would love to play the real version, but console is all I've got. With that being said, I'll rate it a 6.5/10. It's very laggy and has a lot of weird bugs, doesn't feel polished at all. However, I have still spent a ton of time on Rust Console Edition and can definitely say it's worth checking out. There is a lot of fun to be had, but it feels pretty bad on PS4 especially. I still enjoy exploring the map, building a base and seeing how long it stands, hiding loot stashes, raiding, doing monuments, etc. It might be much worse than PC, but it still has a lot to offer.

I just started playing on xbox with my team of 3-5 usually and I love this game and yes it runs horribly 30-40percent of the time. Lag, freezes, fps drops, materials are glitched, and it times me out and kicks me. But when those things aren't happening it is alot of fun.

Console is perfect the way it is. If anything I always get upset that PC players think they know rust console, only to complain about whats missing in it. If you cant handle not having transportation inside and outside the base, rust console is not for you. Rust console is for a tougher breed of player.

I have 1k hours and here’s my opinion. There’s some major bugs but if that got patched and some more monuments would be added the game would be pretty good. But, in terms of the player base, there are so many zergs and people using mnk scripts and zen. Unfortunately you can’t script check on console lol. Zen doesn’t inject a code into the game, like scripts on PC does. It basically it controls the recoil via your controller by default. It acts as an extension to your “controller”. As someone who previously used one on console, and played with tons of self proclaimed “comp” clans and groups before switching to PC, trust me, their is a MASSIVE plague. I’m just happy to have made the switch to actually develop skill on gun control than to NEED to resort to zen to even keep up.

Well I have a few things to point out about rust console, first the graphics are bad (expected from consoles in maps that are pretty big and detailed) but also I have this bug where if I exit and try to reopen rust it says You have not downloaded the latest version of the game even though I have the latest version and if that doesn’t happen it usually says it can’t connect to the rust servers so if I could have help with this bug that would be great.

What people say about console rust has been untrue for my experience so far. In fact I met some really nice people who were willing to teach me some things about the game within my first few hours of game play. Not sure about cheaters, as I wouldn't be able to spot one and same goes for glitches as I wouldn't know any better, but as far as the other players go it has been fun. The game is hard, but I think it's meant to be that way.

It was a good game, but what ruined it for me was the huge teams that always dominate servers and the extreme toxicity of the community. People play this game like it’s their whole life. Majority of the community consists of little kids and teenagers who act all tough and shit. I always played solo. Getting guns was the difficult part because they were always contested by sweaty groups, which never gave less skilled players a chance. I’m just getting this off my chest. The game isn’t for all, but I really wanted to get into it more. The game’s current status just doesn’t work for me. I’ve been thinking of trying Day Z.

I have around 1.5k hours in console and I love the game but lots of fun bugs and many invalids with the guns
