This video did great at showing off what he can do. Thank you for all the testing you did! I may not actually need him because I already have my friendly neighbor Totorodor but this helped me understand what Rygar can bring to your team.

Yup there is no visual indicator that I'm picking up on, that Rygar isn't taking damage... though at 46:21 you can see everyone taking damage, but him.

I don't understand why your testing for GB1 had Torodor actually deployed. The whole point of bringing Torodor is that you don't need to deploy him to get his lord bonus, which you don't want to do(barring deploy and sell for lord bonus and possibly invig). Instead you should have compared Rygar's damage to Torodor on the bench and a different nightmare on the field. Moreover your choice of Twyla, Salazar and Volka was weird. Where are Wukong and Arrogance/Kigiri? I mean I get it, the heroes you selected are the ones that benefit most from Rygar, but that's precisely the issue. Other than Twyla you're not going to use the rest of them on your meta GB1 team. Volka is great for progression but once you get the big boys she's the first 1 you drop. Salazar I just have no idea why he's even there, I mean he doesn't even benefit that much from Rygar as a lot of his damage comes from his ult. Try Torodor, Wukong, Twyla and Arrogance/Kigiri in your test with Torodor on the bench then do the same for Rygar, except now you have to drop Arrogance(or whoever is the worst of the bunch based on the awakenings/artifacts you're using) since Rygar must be deployed. Then you can see just how better or worse Rygar is to Torodor.

@@Prospector-WoR For GB2, yes, but then you also need a tank in there, or a very high hp fighter, so Torodor is still great. For GB1 you have 2 bench slots precisely for that reason, so the whole 'doubling down' aspect is not the positive you make it out to be but rather a negative as he's directly competing against the other top tier fighters in his own faction and he comes short of: Wukong, Kigiri, Twyla and Arrogance, thus taking him means not taking 1(well 2) of these which is a downgrade rather than an upgrade.

You should try testing him vs Torodor in GB1 with SWK, Kigiri, and Twyla/Arrogance/Lust as the 3 fighters for Torodor. Then for him just SWK, Kigiri, and Volka as Rygar will replace the 3rd fighter(Twyla/Arrogance/Lust) being on the field. Volka is there for faster recycling to make up for Rygar having to be on the field. I think that would make it a more apple to apple comparison since that’s how you would run a GB1 right? Torodor would be on the bench and Iovar on the field or Iovar/Aracha on the bench and Rygar on the field.

Great idea, was thinking same. Torodor team wins for sure. We can see Twyla lost 43 mil dmg with him when he is A0, Kigiri and SWK would lose even more since their numbers are even bigger then Twyla's.

He is ok (not on few SSS lords, Iovar or Ardea lvl but way better than other ancient exclusive) but already have Torodor as a lord, A3 Wukong and A5 Kigiri as fighters so don't really need nightmare lord or fighter. Don't want to waste ancients on unit that won't help me much. Will wait for some account breaking ancient hero. It takes some time to save ancients as f2p.

I've tested Rygard, you have to wait 60 sec to proc his passive the first time . When activated he will be surrounded by a shield briefly 😉

Heya, Torrodor Lord skill says "extra hit". I *don't believe* it gives an extra attack, I believe it gives an additional instance of 100% dmg. I also don't think it gives extra rage. Hattsut either does 60% 60% or 60% 60% 100%. Arrogance either does 120% or 120% 100% Lust either does 100% 100% or 100% 100% 100%. Changes to damage don't apply, but damage modifiers do, so... Arrogance ult changes his basic attack, so either does 380% or 380% 100%. Lust ult modifiers by +40%, so either does 140% x4 or 140% x5.

Great video mate. If its not clear that Rygar is better that Torodor, then it means he's not good enough. - He's an ancient-exclusive lord vs a normal pool lord; - Torodor has been around since virtually day 1 vs Rygar is coming out now with clear power creep in the game; - Torodor was effectively given to all players via the Moonton sorry gift vs Rygar.... no; - Nightmare is the best or 2nd faction behind Arbiters. They should have a lord at the level of Praetus, at this stage in the game. - It makes absolutely ZERO sense that they would release OP ridiculous NM heroes in Wukong and Kigiri, and not have THEIR LORD also be an absolute beast. I mean..... lol.... would they stand up to and respect a weaklings like Rygar?!?! NM is my favorite comp. I have a5 lust, a5 Wukong, a5 Arrogance, a3 Kigiri (working to a5), a4 Torodor, and i've been looking forward to the new OP NM lord for months. For me to be questioning if im even going to pull for him is just insane. They missed the mark massively.

Yeah.. I think fixing the consistency of his dmg boost would be a good fix. Only when he ults? Lame.. Only for basic attacks..? Lame! I'd prefer maybe Le if it's only when he ults that it's all dmg.. Or if only basic attacks then 100% uptime. Maybe they'll give him love eventually 😂. I'd be happy to pull him if I didn't have Toro tbh.. He's kind of on equal grounds

From what I've seen the output damage with either torodor and rygar will be about the same in the end results. They just work in different ways. Since I have torodor, I won't need rygar and save my ancients for what's coming next

Moreover rather than using 2 nightmare teams you can just use Kigiri and Wukong with Ingrid and watchers instead then use Arrogance, Lust and Twyla with Torodor for basically the same effect as the other nightmare fighters aren't better than what the other factions can bring to the table.

Therefore it's much harder to get him than it is to get the normal heroes, many of which are simply superior to him. More options may be better if you're talking about regular heroes, not so much when it comes to ancient exclusives.
