Is Scanpy faster then Seurat? | Part 1-Data Preprocessing

I visit your video while helping my coleagues with a huge dataset. One thing I can comment is that, researchers usually have access to cluster computer and huge memory isn't a problem with them. There are features from Seurat (or in general I would say R) that are not available in Scanpy (in case of Python users). Therefore, people probably have to use both or leaning toward Seurat than Scanpy.

R is definitely a better tool for the implementation of a complete pipelines. But I think there is still a large % of researcher in the world that lacks access to a compute cluster, or at least hindered by the politics in universities from using them often. I have also been ignoring Scanpy for a long time but with the rising amount of tools available in python, I think it might be a good time to try a different platform, just to see what we can learn from this XD.

really helpful! could you please tell me what is the difference between seurat and h5seurat?
