Congratulations on the release of your new book! 🍾 I don’t know if you remember me but I’m one of your subscribers who graduated in May, couldn’t get a job, and was studying for the MCAT during live study sessions! I’m so excited to share this good news: after months of studying and feeling like I’m not good enough, on Monday I took the exam, on Tuesday I got my dream job offered, and on Wednesday I was offered a higher salary! Now I am packing and looking for apartments in my dream city. This week has been so crazy and surreal and I really hope that you’ve been having a good week as well! I'm a recent follower of your channel and I'm impressed. Your work ethic is amazing and you're constantly on the go. I'm tired just watching one of your videos 😂 I've been working my way through your older uploads and a few recommended a book which is definitely right up my street, Night Film by Marisha Pessl, so I ordered it through Waterstones (I'm from the UK) and should have it by next week. Hopefully it replaces the last book I read which I rated as the best book I've read for the past couple of years.

Congrats on your new book being published! I am a new subscriber and have a question so I'm not sure if you've answered in previous videos. When you are coming up with an idea and start planning for a new book, do you do a lot of research into the same topic to make sure you're not writing a book that is too similar to another published book? I am debating writing a book for fun and publishing on Dreame or a similar app, but I also don't particularly feel like I'd be willing to work as hard as you do in regards with everything else you've mentioned. Publishing books sounds like a lot of hard work and between 2 kids and working part time already I couldn't see myself doing it as an actual job. On another note, I have noticed Dreames online books editing is absolutely horrendous so I completely agree with proper editors. It doesn't look great having bad grammar and spelling mistakes.

Oh hey, you're at 28k, congrats!!!!! :D I haven't written a book, I haven't written a draft, but I still love hearing about the entire process and your experiences. It's fun and insightful! Any vids you make about this, I look forward to. Probably cos I'm nosy AF about writing, reading and publishing, so hey, it makes sense. It also seems fairly different for everybody which is intimidating but cool!

I wasn't even considering self-publishing in my future until the past year or so. I'd still have several years before I could make that leap. Right now, I'm in college and I have other career goals too (there's just so much I want to do with my life, which I guess is a good problem to have) but the hope is that in the future I will have the money and make the time to self-publish.
