Hi, me being a 1.2mpi Polo owner, was looking to upgrade to Virtus GT. But here in our city, there's no test drive available in 1.5TSI, in both Skoda and VW showroom. Then I got to Mahindra and Kia showroom, and got test drive on XUV700 Petrol AT and Seltos 1.4TGDI DCT. Because of this reason, a lot of people who want a performance oriented car, are moving towards these 2 alternatives, instead of 1.5TSI from VW/Skoda. If VW India can provide test drives on their 1.5TSI engines in all dealership of vw/Skoda then their sales figures will definitely increase.

Na kabhi service centre gya main 6 month baad general chcekup 1 year baad service.. 1 call pe gaddi le jaate hain aur sham tk vapis home delivery.... Kon si extra care hai yaar 😂 hadd hai Na maine kabhi engine oil top up kiya.. 150000 chal chuki hai

4:04 German cars, especially VW and Mercedes are known to be unreliable in the global market. That's why, except in Europe, nobody buys their cars (I'm not considering China as their market is different and localised). Toyota and Honda on the other hand, always over-engineer their cars to make them durable and reliable. And Hyundai has also followed Toyota's footsteps in this aspect. That's why in the US market, Toyota and Honda sells so much and there's a craze when these brands launch a sports car (Civic Type R, Integra S or GR Corolla and Supra). Nobody, there cares for VW. Hyundai, nowadays is also making excellent cars like Elantra N.

Buying a car for daily commuting and for family purpose first time buyers then these cars are not for you Buying a car for enjoyment fun to drive , overall experience, and if it's your 2nd car go for it , atleast try to get a hold of it once I can vouch you on this after driving this car for 80-100 kms you wont be able to go for any other cars not even XUV 700 or harrier this much good it is in terms of drivability

The oil top up thing is completely incorrect. Even after 15000km, my Polo usually have considerable amount of engine oil left. Kindly give evidence for this oil top up issue.

The options are Nexon, XUV300, Brezza, Venue, Sonet, Kiger and Magnite. For highway use one should go with either XUV300 or Nexon for their better handling at high speeds and 5☆ safety. For city use brezza with 1.5NA gets the job done. Its equally spacious as Nexon and XUV300. Venue and Sonet are for those who strictly want to use their cars in city and want best interiors and fit finish in the segment and have small family (Family of 4) as these cars have cramped rear seats. Magnite and kiger should be considered by those who have tight budget and want a very vfm car. Lastly one should buy a car from a brand whose dealership as well as service centre is available within 50kms radius.(There are many cities which donot have dealerships of even Nissan, VW, Skoda in 100kms radius forget about Audi BMW nd Merc.

You are right vw has got bad image regarding maintenance because more than half of the owners didn’t give a damn about maintaining their cars properly and when bills would come in 5 digits they would blame the brand for their own mistakes of not taking care correctly

900 for oil isn't much. Problem is availability of spares and exorbiant prices of those. Heard about few cars where dealers gave estimates of Lakhs to customers. With Taigun, Virtus etc things might be different bcz they are heavily localized with 1 ltr TSI engine. But spares for 1.5 TSI would be still tricky and pricey bcz that engine still imported. Even Suzuki and Hyundai swrvice centres are giving higher service costs nowadays. Then there is another problem. VW doesn't has a proper 7 seater within 20 Lacs nor they have a product like Celerio which can give them volume sales. They are only focussing on Sedans and not compact Sedans like Dzire or Amaze which too are within 4 mtr length and can give them volume sales. Not everyone needs 1.5 TSI engine. Many would be happy if they get a product like Celerio from VW with a 1 or 1.2 Ltr TSI engine. What we need is good AC too. With Virtus and Taigun they hit the right spot but people wary about AC and other issues that were present. Not all gonna go for only petrol engine. They don't have CNG or Hybrid as an option still. Not everyone gonna consider 95 octane petrol when there are other cars who can run without hassles with even e20 fuel. Volume sales and product continuity matters for resale value ingeneral. Even Hyundai car won't fetch much money if gets discontinued unless they have something special. They need to bring a small car like MG is bringing in EV form that can be luxurious and highly economical also. Not everyone needs Sedans bcz difficult to park them ingeneral. KUSHAQ is selling in ok number so it means they can bring a premium hatchback then too there is scope for them. We need smaller and inexpensive cars to maintain. Not everyone has money to spend lavishly. So, all want bang for their bucks spent. The quality VW is giving in Taigun or Virtus is acceptable and interiors too feel good. Why not they try to bring a car like Punch or Kiger with 1 Ltr TSI engine. That can give them an edge. Nano was considered cheap but it was highly practical. VW should try something out of the box now. After 2040 we don't expect gasoline cars to be manufactured anymore so thinking about resale value will be insane. There are many who will go with a decent product for now rather than spending too much for a luxury bcz after few years EV or Hydrogen Fuel Cell cars will be running here more. At that time one shouldn't expect that for a 30 lacs car they will get even 5-6 lacs if gasoline engines gets discontinued
