Is Serena Williams Actually A Good Role Model?

In short, Serena Williams is one of the best in the sport. Her record indicates that she may be one of the best female tennis players of all time. But outside of tennis, is she a good role model?

i watched naomi vs serena live and it made me a naomi fan instantly. while serena is the best female tennis player (given her dominance in an era where competition is tougher and the number of grand slams she has), her character is incredibly controversial and arrogant. compare her to roger, novak, or rafael and you'll see the difference

the thing is, naomi really started going downhill from there. she started fighting against her coach and her motivation in general went down. don't know if 2018 tournament was a cause of it

@@jawadalam4409 How is Serena's competition tougher? Steffi played 13 Slam finals against Evert, Navratilova and Seles, all three of which are top 10 all time greats. She also played against Sanchez Vicario, Sabatini, Novotna, Hingis, Davenport, Capriati, Pierce and others. Serena never played a single final against an all time great and won 15 Slams post 2008 beating players like Zvonareva, Safina, Radwanska, Wozniacki, Jankovic, Muguruza, Safarova in Slam finals. Her main rival in the last decade was Azarenka, lol.

Hey ish your videos are great, I love your critical thinking. Hopefully it inspires others to be informed before taking a stand on certain issues. I dislike celebrity culture because celebrities are worshiped/put on a pedestal by most "commoners". It's scary how aggressive and entitled she got. Her saying Mr. Ramos would never be on one of her matches again was a threat. She knows how much power and influence she has. She was determined to get him fired with her false accusations of him. Thankfully the tennis officials did not let the public opinion influence their investigation.

100%. I also took into account the fact that men play Best of 5 Sets while women play Best of 3 Sets, but even when controlling for these facts, men had still committed many more offenses than women. I was considering adding this in the video, and maybe I should have, but it was already quite a long video + the new findings wouldn't have changed the ultimate result that there was no gender bias.
