Correct me if im wrong, but i don't think there is anything in the Quran proscribing stoning for adultery. There are some weak hadith but thats it, Shariah was created many years after the prophet Muhammad, and it has cultural parallels with other legal systems of that time and era such as Jewish law. This suggests it is much more cultural than religious than most Muslims and non-Muslims accept.
@ZakManga Жыл бұрын
There's a hadith on lashing for unmarried adultery and a hadith from the Prophet ﷺ on a married man who was stoned when he attested to the adultery four times. Afaik, it has multiple narrations and is strong. In fact, there's a hadith that there was a fear that a time might come when people might pretend as if stoning doesn't occur in our shariah

@@kjenki11 why would Muslim women leave Islam? I have seen non Muslim women actually join Islam because it makes sense to them. We cover women as they are not object. @@kjenki11 I'm a women and it's definitely not horrible. They make it seem as if we have no rights as Muslim women, but it's just that Islamic law takes away a lot of responsibilities from us and give it to men. People in the west just normalise women taking on difficulties and responsibilities and try and make it seem glamorous, but at the end of the day it's really not the story
@rachelrachel4883 Жыл бұрын
I can assure you that in Islamic countries men do not lower their gaze and especially the young males will croon after young women in abayas! The problem is not women not being covered. The problem is women being covered too much. So the men go crazy at an ankle or a foot. In Islamic countries like UAE, where men see uncovered women all the time, they do not stare and gawk. The problem is that men don’t realise that hijab is for their eyes. That hijab is so they don’t harass the women. It’s not a cloth to cover women. It’s a way for men to behave respectfully towards all women. Not just their mothers and sisters.

The wording of this video suggests that stoning is a punishment that comes from the Quran. Stoning is never mentioned in the Quran and stoning comes from a Hadith. Allegedly someone saw monkeys stone a monkey who committed adultery. As monkeys don’t form monogamous relationships, and don’t know what the human concept of adultery is, this is obviously a false story. It also reduces humans to the level of monkeys. I personally consider it blasphemous to suggest stoning came from God via the Quran. Otherwise there is some intelligent information in this video.
@ZakManga Жыл бұрын
No, the monkeys thing was just a story of pre-Islamic ignorance times. The hadith on stoning comes from a man who testified to the Prophet ﷺ four times that he committed adultery and the Prophet ﷺ ordered the stoning since he was a married man. Lashing for the unmarried person is the one that's in the Quraan
@rachelrachel4883 Жыл бұрын
So one must ask the Question, was the Prophet allowed to ordain punishment or make laws? The answer is no, the Quran outlines an example where the Prophet was clearly and firmly told off for making laws to suit his wives and was told never to do such again. So the Prophet was not permitted to ordain punishment nor make laws. Another example of a false narrative in hadith.

@@Hasmatix but if you never prescribe punishments, the society collapses eventually because there's no reminder or no fear of harming fellow humans. To not punish is to allow corruption. Take for example adultery, if you're married you damage the relationship, you hurt your partner, yourself, the person committing adultery with you, your kids if you have any or your future kids. You damage several households, and even if you aren't married it's a fairly big issue In cases of rape, the rapist gets away, if they are truly rapists. But shariah allows the death penalty and monetary compensation for the person raped, if it can be proven. In the west and other laws a rapist gets a few decades/years these days and can get out on bail etc Also, in the case that no one finds out, you don't have to go to a judge and confess adultery, you are supposed to stay silent and sincerely repent, putting the matter between you and God so that He can forgive you. By the hudd punishment being carried out, scholars agree that the sinner is forgiven for that particular sin. It's better to get the punishment off your record in this world than suffer badly for it in the hereafter
