Ohtani is leading Lindor in 17 statistical categories: Home Runs, OPS, Total Bases, B/WAR, OBP, Xtra Base Hits, w/OBA, SLG, Triples, Hits, OPS+, Runs, Walks, Stolen Bases, wRC+, RBI's, and Batting Average. He's also going to do something nobody has ever done in MLB's 148 year history with a 50/50 season. The MVP race isn't even close.

Without Ohtani's offense, when Mookie was hurt and through Freeman's on and off struggles along with Will Smith's struggles, this Dodger's team would be fighting for a Wild Card right now

1) Ohtani’s WAR as a DH at 7.1 (vs Lindor 6.3) broke the all time DH record of 7.0 shared by Frank Thomas and Edgar Martinez, 2) deduct 1.4 WAR for DH due to no defensive play, 3) already all time record of 44HR and 46 SB even if he did not reach 50-50 (just a number), 4) Ohtani literally carried this time with Mookie Betts out for two months, Freeman with his ILs and family issues, and WITHOUT Ohtani, this Dodger would be third in the NL West. Without Ohtani, the Dodgers would be fighting for a wild card spot, 5) the dude just underwent a second TJ surgery, what more can you expect from this guy. The lady in the middle is clearly biased, don’t even know 44, 46, geez! (why is she even a Dodgers podcaster arguing Lindor is LITERALLY, and again LITERALLY better when all the offensive metrics clearly show Shohei much better) and brainwashed by the NY media, Shohaters (lots of them out there just cause he’s Japanese), and NY Yankees, Mets, Jays, Mariners, Padres sour fans.

One thing I know for sure, two weeks ago, Ohtani could have been voted unanimously as the MVP, but now with all the Shohaters coming out (even ex NFL MVPs), Sean Casey, this and that claiming Lindor is better will affect the voting outcome. Ohtani will win by a landslide but not as before, unanimous.

Ohtani is not only hitting don't forget he's also rehabbing before each game. There's so much Ohtani brings besides the offense, he forces errors from opposing teams trying to throw him out, pitching around him to get to Mookie Betts, he brings fans into the stadium and eyeballs to games, interest to the game, revenue to the owners, but most of all he inspires, he inspires others to achieve greatness and up their game.... just not the pitchers lol but perhaps next season when he starts to pitch with Glassnow and Yamamoto.

It's just funny how the lady in the middle is talking nonsense. Yeah, bases are bigger but what Ohtani is doing is making history. Hitting homers is not easy. if stealing bases is easy, how many does Lindor have? it is not Ohtani's fault that he is part of a great team with many superstars. When he was in the Angels and he was surrounded by So-So players, he carried the team and is consistent but what did media say then? They pointed out that the team did not even go to post season and that MVP is chosen based on his value not just for the team but for the whole game. Baseball is a team game. Give credit where credit is due. Excuses, excuses, excuses. if they don't want someone they will have millions of reasons that they can think of.
