Back when this map first came out I remember it clearly, i was ridin the old 4 wheeler goin around to claim outposts and right as i was heading up towards one of the far left outposts i see this fluffy white thing sprinting towards me. Turned out to be a level 4 albino sika deer, my first and only sika to this day 😂

I love grinding sika on this map now. You can shoot a ton in a 45 minute window. I'm noticing that they're trying not to overlap drink times anymore on maps. Although on this map sika and fallow deer drink at the same time. There are a ton of fallow deer on this map as well. They're basically in the same places they were before plus they drink at the long lake with the tree in it now.

Not sure if sika deer hunting is better but red deer hunting sure is. I actually just got the biggest diamond sika I have ever seen a week or 2 ago. Made me much more interested in the species

After watching this I decided to go check my map, I don't play Te Awaroa much because Sika deer are my favourite looking deer in the game but I always struggled to find them. Well just going back now I got 12 males over the span of 20 minutes... Guess I'll be playing it more now :') I have a diamond already (base spawn) but I'll also be grinding for an albino now!

You should check all the lakes above the river for red deer it’s crazy up there

You should 100% check out parque. Pretty much every lake has mule deer, red deer, axis deer and pumas, including the way bottom left lake that's like 2.75km away from an outpost

Just so you know, Male sikas are called Stags, since they are Subspecies of red deer. Keep up the good work 👍

Sika and Red deer are in the same genus (Cervus) and can interbreed but are 2 distinct species. Neither is a subspecies of the other.

I will say i love the new repopulation in te aweroa. I was checking out after it happened and found albino stag. He wasn't big but its a rare that i wanted. Besides a mela whitetail it was the rare i thought i would never see. Hopefully i will get the mela whitetail next.

I’ve been very unlucky when it comes to Sika deer i only had like 4-5 Max weight estimates before the update now I only have 2-3 Max weight estimates

I can’t stand the model for the sika. The 5 points on each side is infuriating, and the small bodies is insane. Sika (specifically dybowski which is what these are) weigh up to 300 pounds and rarely ever have a 5th point. Should have 8 total not 10.
