having tried out kbm for a while, i’d say the trade off when it comes to crosshair placement is worth it. i’m doing triple edit, peanut butter, ramp flip, pump, reset pump clips now that before.. eh 😅

I was wondering why kids in creative were all of a sudden building more than usual. The edits were crazy but the game sense and aim was terrible, I knew something was wrong. Once I learned of simple edit and saw they only did those limited edits it all made sense lol. I think it’s a w by FN personally. It took long enough. Sucks it only came after I had mastered builds on controller for that matter. I might switch it will require a change of play style but it should be worth it. Especially for higher ping players

The nice thing about simple edits is it naturally trains you to have better crosshair placement. There are some limitations to it but for 3/4 of players it will absolutely improve your building and editing.

It will help anyone who’s bad improve but will give them a skill ceiling after a while because of the limitations but players that are already good won’t benefit. It would actually be a set back.

2 things that pros will pick up on, even if buffed, normal edits allow more angles to shoot from, If u look at the simple edits there is a way to predict where someone will edit, meanwhile there is more spots someone can shoot from if someone's doing normal edits and more versatility.

yeah man. Editing itself isn't even anything complicated. You might be slow when starting out but with time skill improves, as it should be. But now you can just triple edit with 0 effort and instant edit.

In my opinion, I think simple edits are good for the game. It gives an incentive for new or returning players/zero build only players to dip their toes into build modes and even maybe competitive modes. From a business standpoint, that means that they would likely invest more time into the game, thus making Epic more cash. Also, it seems to have a skill cap thats a lot lower than having it off. Having less edits available, not being able to reset as quickly with scroll edit, and disabling pre-edits (I could be wrong about pre edits, i haven’t seen anybody use pre edits with simple edits on tho 🤷‍♂️) are tradeoffs that, in my opinion, only really have importance and value in things like tournaments, or other activities that high skill players play in, like token zone wars and stuff. Could be totally wrong about that prediction, but im curious about what yall think about it. (tl;dr, i think simple edit is good because it lets new players even the playing field a bit with better players, and good players probably wont find value in switching to it because the cons outweigh the pros)

If you play on lower fps its really hard to do hard edits mid fight....this helps that a lot....not everyone playes on 240 stable fps and 0 ping

u can still reset builds without scroll wheel on simple edit really fast just by pressing the edit button again because it resets, main issue for me is no cone peaking

As another scroll wheel controller player I would say use your up and down for different binds like sprint or something. Obviously only if this is in comp I have a feeling they arnt gonna allow this in tourneys it’s to broken

I'm ngl the reset delay sells the whole thing. It creates too many opportunities to get hit, wich is why I think it's not gonna be used in competetive at all.(maybe some controler players but idk) Altough for regular players playing ranked, it might be a cool setting.
