- The basic asian carrot cake is a mash up raddish / daikon and rice flour then steamed for its basic squared shape . Different ways to prepare that includes having it with some garnishing and sauce , or fried it as a small rectangular piece , or stir-fried with egg ( we call it the white version ) or sweet soy sauce ( the black version ) . We don’t technically call it sweet or savory in general here in Singapore 🇸🇬 though .

Nice video, there a nice Onsen at Nagoya air port if you have a two hour wait. We are going to Nagoya for sight seeing today studio Ghibli is on the menu and the science museum and few things thrown in between.

Just flown Singapore business A350 SIN to Manchester. Flight was comfortable, food was good, service was superb. The seat in bed configuration is not the best for sure, I don’t like the diagonal sleep position. However it is far more comfortable than the business seat SIN to Bangkok on a 777. Stay well clear of the 2 middle row seats, you feel hemmed in by the partition

The SilverKris lounge in T3 is recently renovated and by far the best one to visit. You should definitely check it out next time 👌 (Also turn left when entering the lounge for better seating and dining)

Nice video Kym Singapore AirlinesAirbus A350 have differenent configurations some are used on longer sectors such as Singapore to Amsterdam . Also they have aa fleet longer range A350 operating the non stop Singapore New York route .

Thank for the video. Flew business SIA- Mel-Sin-Newark return late last year. Must say I found the service less impressive than last time. Crew were good not great with service and attentiveness but super friendly. Won’t be my first choice next time tbh.

I actually work for what's termed as a third party stakeholder at LHR and regularly service the A380 and B777. I agree the J class (business) seats on the double decker are amazing, very roomy with nice bedding. By all accounts Singaporeans pride themselves on the A380 being the flagship of the fleet. 😊

japanese toilets look super cram because they are essentially a capsule, a shelter that you can seek, when an earthquake occurs. it apparently has its own supply of clean water

Hey Kym. I met you in the lounge at Nagoya on Monday. I’m surprised you didn’t give that one a 5/10, it really wasn’t up to much. That said, it’s better than the JAL lounge at Nagoya. Also, the T2 lounge at Singapore when crowded, as it was when I was headed to Nagoya on Thursday, is chaos. Better to stay in the T3 lounge and head to T2 just before boarding. The A380 is definitely outdated and the seat in J class is pretty ordinary. The A380s will be phased out of the fleet in the next couple of years and not a moment too soon. The seat in the 787 is far superior but it is a tighter cabin to be sure. Give me the A350 or 777 any day. As to the staff on SA, excellent on every flight I’ve ever taken with them. And while SA might not be quite at the level of Qatar and its Q Suite, I really dislike transiting through the Gulf so for me it’s SA for most flights these days.

Absolutely yes. Flew to Male return last year with them and it will be the last time. They screwed up the seating, down-graded us due to overbooking, return flight was 4 hours late making us miss our other sectors, and had little interest in discussing the matter. 3/10

I agree Kym the A350/787 seat is terrible. That big wing block the window view for no good reason, and if you have wide shoulders you just cannot fit. I put up with it to get the singapore service, although next flight returning via syd to get the 777 seat instead

if u are wide in size, the seat becomes worse than an economy seat. the bump is for the elbow to rest but soon the arm will feel numb, u wish u landed. stopped flying regional business on sq because of these seats. the old ones were better even though it was not as advanced but more comfortable. the a380 seats that were wide and can be folded into the bed is so so much better and many were used for shorter haul flights too which are now filled with such horrid stellia seats. if you are thin, u may enjoy this product tho.😀

Some drivers stay at the track, RIC definitely was. All the top hotels are in Nagoya and maybe some drivers stay there but it is a little far.

Unfortunately they have always had different Bus Class offerings across their fleet. I found it infuriating at times when I'd want their premium large fold down seat bed and end up on the plane that ussually serviced flights under 4 hours. Look, I get that different aircrafy determine the width & length of seat BUT, on a luxury airline, I expect better from SIA and just because I'm flying "medium hall" (between 4 -8 hours) I don't expect an inferior seat. They have always had the youngest fleet of all airlines, but since Covid they are not updating their offering and sadly unless there is a management take over, nothing will change. Singaporeans are generally very conservative business people and the airline is managed by men in drab dark brown suits...trust me, I worked for them for 6 years.

SIA will fly A380 from Australia... 🤓 They go out of MEL and SYD with A380 during busy periods, but only the A350 and B787 from ADL, BNE, and PER 🤓
