Excellent vidio ,love the early morning start ,London bus,es out to lhr,agree Singapore air ,best airline best crew ,but the food in economy is now poor,especially if your flying for 14 hours.i will be heading to London soon after many,many years as a Kris flyer ,I,LL be booking Emirates simply because of the food

Thank you! Yeah I made those videos from the beginning since I also wanted to memorise my trip to London. I agree that Emirates serves better food, but have you watched my trip report from SIN to LHR? The meal wasn't that bad. So I think SQ's problem is the catering supplier that hasn't met the standard they had pre-covid

Honestly, Singapore Airlines has built its reputation and brand equity that was hard to compete and beat for many years - as attested by the numerus International aviation awards. But post Covid-19 pandemic, I noticed a slight drop in their overall competitive posture. The little touches like hot towels (real cotton material), welcome drink, menu cards, inflight magazine, food served in proper cutlery, standard of food quality and choices, and even flowers in toilets in the early days have literally disappeared. These are the finer things that differentiate the SIA brand. Fortunately, the service standards and smiling faces of the iconic "Singapore Girl" have not dissipated. As a Singaporean I am always proud to fly our national carrier on my overseas journeys although most of the time the flights are packed with very few occasions when you have an empty seat beside you to afford you the extra comfort. SIA must realize that things have changed and there are many Asian and Middle Eastern airlines which are equally good, if not better. Remember, passengers have a CHOICE. Time to wake up. Hopefully, the recent announcement that SIA is offering FREE wifi to all cabin classes will help restore a little of the prestige of our Singapore Airlines for being always the first to roll out innovative initiatives in the air.

Thank you for the comment, Adrian. Honestly, I really love this airline. Yes, some little touches, as you said, are missing. But I tried to see the positive way. They still did a great job by showing smiles, helpful service, and no delay in all of my flight with them. So they still can compete in the top level. But to be the best, it’s still a huge question. Can they improve or at least just go back to their pre-covid service.

Made this very trip for work in 2015 on the A380 with the then 50th anniversary livery. I was in economy, but the attention given by the flight attendants and their professionalism was top notch. Long flight, but I enjoyed every minute. Imagine hot towels and welcome drink in economy. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

The longest A380 Route is Operated by Emirates on Dubai to Auckland route. This is also One of the World's longest route apart from Singapore A350ULR on Singapore to New York route!

Kemarin baru pulang dengan SQ 317 , dan di 46A pula , menurut gw kualitas makanan nya emang menurun banget kualitas nya , trus di antara lunch dan breakfast jauh banget jarak nya , memang di tengah flight kita bs request snack etc popmie / sandwich , tapi kalo gak diminta mereka gak nawarin juga cmiww , overall a380 memang nyaman , dan cabin crew SQ salah satu yg terbaik menurut gw

Wih sama bang😁 memang gw baru pertama kali naik SQ, cuma ya ekspektasinya kan tinggi namanya maskapai 3 besar dunia. Service dari cabin crewnya luar biasa, tapi makanannya mengecewakan. Menurut gw sih ini lebih ke supplier cateringnya ya. Di video satunya (SIN-LHR) makanannya lumayan oke kok, bahkan nasi lemaknya enak bgt. Soal snack betul, kita bisa request atau datang langsung ke galley tengah/belakang. Cuma gw gak videoin karena yg duduk di sebelah tidur terus sepanjang flight jd susah buat permisi keluar😂

Curious to know why you ultimately concluded that SA is one of the world's top 3 airlines? It seems that you didn't enjoy either of your meals. And the meals themselves look quite small for a 13 hour flight. On Emirates you would receive at least one appetiser. Personally it seems that, post-Covid, SA have significantly deteriorated but would love to know your thoughts.

Hi, thanks for the comment. Actually this was not based on my personal thoughts regarding the airline rank. Skytrax said that Singapore Airlines is world no. 2 airline behind QR. So I was expecting more from them. Yes, the meals were disappointing. But the cabin crew still managed it really well, they were so kind and helpful, so the meals weren't a big deal. That's why I said SQ deserves to be a top 3 airline based on the services. But if you check other comments in this video, for the flight from India or Japan, they got a delicious meal. So I think the problem was the catering supplier. SQ need to change their London supplier. Based on that, SQ still deserved to be a top airline, even though like you said, they have deteriorated. And yes! Emirates is on my list. I'd love to fly them soon, but maybe not this year😁

2 minggu yg lalu baru balik dari mumbai naik SQ, dapet A380 juga. Emg nyaman bgt sih A380. Kalo untuk makanan kemaren pilihannya ada 3 macem, 2 indian, 1nya western. Waktu itu pilih western & istri pilih indian enak semua makanannya, apa karena beda catering ya?

Betul. A380 ini nyaman banget. Economy tapi gak pegal sama sekali biarpun perjalanan belasan jam. Kemungkinan besar sih betul krn catering bang. Soalnya kalo liat review2 lain di penerbangan LHR-SIN, rata2 keluhannya ada di makanan. Tapi klau dari Mumbai, mungkin karena dasarnya Indian food udah enak jadi yg supply ke SQ jg enak semua makanannya, beda dgn British food yg ahsudahlah😁

I would say Singapore Airlines is world class but based on my personal experience flying with them post pandemic on long haul economy class, their overall service has dropped compared to pre pandemic.

That's true. I mean the service was still on top level. But the meal was embarrassing. From what my friends said, Japanese airlines offers the best meal if you wanna try

Plus minus lah om. Bagusnya, kita bisa plane spotting, terus krn terminalnya besar, banyak pesawat bisa muat di situ. Tapi, lebih banyak yg sy gak suka. Seperti lampu remang2 dan AC kurang dingin, terus mau jalan ke mana2 jauh. Beda dgn Changi yg meskipun besar, tapi tetap nyaman mungkin karena pengaruh lantai karpet dan ceiling yg gak terlalu tinggi. Selain itu, banyak area kosongnya. Jadi berasa di pabrik. Di CGK tetap favorit saya itu Terminal 2

@@HandyKoesnadie iya betul. Tapi sebenarnya pindah lantai gak selalu jadi patokan lebih nyaman atau engga. Soalnya di Changi sm Heathrow juga kalau kita masuk itu mesti naik/turun eskalator. Yg jadi masalah alur sirkulasi penumpangnya itu yg gak enak. Desainnya juga terlalu polos jadi jalan jauh berasa lama. Oh ya, coba om liat video saya yg naik Batik Air ke Palu. Itu dari T2😁 Thank you for the compliment. Utk scarf saya beli di Old Trafford. Lumayan buat oleh2😄
