All I’m saying is I drunkenly tried to fight a thorn bush (aka I fell) and my 12 step intensive skincare routine healed the cut in 2 days 😂 not even a scar.

I found out I was lactose-intolerant, after 3 days without dairy my cystic acne cleared up, including my backne. After a week I was COMPLETLY acnefree after using so many meds and products and it was literally dairy that did it to me!!! I don't even have scars or anything which is crazy to me. 7 Years acnefree rn.

I love my step routine. 1, Steam, to dilate the pores; opening them up. 2, Soap to cleanse dirt from skin. 3, Further exfoliation to remove dead skin cells, microbes and dirt inside the pores. 4, Splash and rinse with cold water to contract the pores; closing them up. 5, Toner to help rejuvenate the skin giving it a youthful natural glow. 6, touch of SPF to protect from sun damage. 7, touch of moisturiser to rehydrate. Night time, As above. Except from SPF: Hyaluronic acid, rejuvenate skin. Eye Cream to tackle dark circles, One melatonin capsule to promote good sleep, Yes! The simplicity of a good night's sleep has excellent effects on skin. Finally glycolic acid face peel, helps to pemetrate deep into the layers of skin. Repeat cycle everyday.

I use La Roche-Posay foaming facial cleanser daily and niacinamide ointment after to help fade dark spots from acne scars and minimize pores when I wake up and go to bed. and the neutrogena benzoyl peroxide 2-3 times a week to kill bacteria and prevent breakouts. It burns my skin so it’s used in moderation. Lastly I use nivea face cream to rehydrate and moisturize daily. I don’t use sunscreen much since I am black but I want to incorporate it more often now because I do get hyperpigmentation (darker) if out in the sun too long. My face after all this looks pretty great, I’m 22 now so I’m not sure if it’s just me getting over my acne phase or if the products are actually working, I think it’s a mix of both because my acne scars definitely have faded lots.

i’m an esthetician, nobody needs more than 3-4 steps in their routine. if you’re acne prone, just use adapalene, give it about 3 months before you see results, and a good moisturizer that you enjoy on your skin, the more you enjoy a product, the more likely you are to be consistent with it. when it comes to products with active ingredients like adapalene gels, LESS is more. a pea sized amount, and dot it all over the face to spread it evenly.

In skinkcare I think the less the better usually, I find average price creams are best in longterm, maybe it's because they're much more simple in formulations than high end products.

skincare doesn't cover it up, it cleans acne causing bacteria. There are different reasons for acne, not everything works the same for everyone.
