That’s a great way to describe it. Normally a game trying to be sorta sim and sorta casual wouldn’t work. But SnowRunner manages to. It hits a sweet spot.

You can try some mods, you don’t have to play it normally, mods can be fun. Try the max trucks or max scouts pack, I played the game that way my first time and I had an absolute blast

I have played this game since it was Spintires and what Snowrunner is now is by far the best offroad simulator there is, and it is now a complete and rewarding experience. The way it all comes together is brilliant. i have put many hours in and im not very far into the base game, expect to put 40 hrs in and be half done with the first area. This game doesnt have checkponts, it saves the exact state of everything but if you go load logs for an hour and then tip over on the delivery... You have alot of work to do to get back on track, you cant just redo, you either abandon the load, and buy a new trailer, or you come back with a crane and fix the situation. I love it

Or go to desktop shut the game off then start the game back up and it will load you back in a few minutes before you dumped your load.

I originally bought it used at a store similar to Disc Replay. The Freightliner Semi Truck on the front cover appealed to me since I'm into semi trucks. Since, I've started playing it, SnowRunner has become extremely addictive. I have played it on my Nintendo Switch for the most hours compared to ever other game I own.

​@@naeembaksh129 Just base game is probably $20. Spend about $100 to get base game, all four year passes, and all dlc trucks. Thats like 200 hours worth of content and has replayability. Im 800 hours in, but have all possible dlc maps and trucks available.

For comparison I loved Death Stranding too, almost mail guy simulator, but I doesn't found boring nor saw other games like these.

As I forst heard you say Dark Souls, I was like "hell yeah". But then you said it could be a bad choice :D I love both games and SnowRunner is improving my lack of patience and lowers my threshold of frustration I get in SoulsBourne-Games. So you got a point there ^^ But my addiction with this game is too damn high. But I am still too stingy to buy the DLCs. First I play the standalone game and hope that all those black friday/cyber monday and whatnot a giving me a good discount on PS5-Version.

Do not buy snow runner for consoles that have been broken since season 7. May 31,2022 It has a lot of issues where people can't play. I play on the Xbox Series X. And they still haven't fixed it to this day. But they keep updating the game with new maps. But they're not fixing the xbox Issues I feel like they abandoned the Xbox or consoles.

me myself in mudrunner i have a strategy, first i will scout the map using small cars, second. will haul logs into mills which something i call "reconnaisance, then manpower" hense i progrress easily but does this also work in snow runner if there is map shadow?

Well done explaining what to expect from this game. I'm watching this video in Q1 of 2024 while currently playing Expeditions which is my first ever driving/trucking sim, and I love it in spite of the minor issues that I have encountered at release. Since I enjoy Expeditions, I've decided to consider on purchasing the 4 year anniversary edition of SnowRunner. I realize that the devs have different intent for each game which suits me well, because I prefer variety of gameplay styles. Thank you for uploading this video.

The game is worth to buy for the content but not for the crash problem it has,ever since i bought this i have seen a crash or 2 every single day,maybe one week of crash vacation. Since i have the game for 2 months i might have seen more than 60 crashes and it's unique to this one since i played other broken bugged games like the new Saint's Row and it didn't crash,it has no comparison with this one. Some days i see 4 crashes. I turned off 3 effects i see in video configuration of the game in Xbox but still didn't solve,i disabled keep my games updated setting in my Xbox too. Keeps going and i tell all players here to not buy any DLC until they see no more crashes,i only bought Kola and no more,game crashes are not my problem but i still have to deal with it anytime so people have been warned.

Bought the game maybe 2 years ago. Never finished the game but never had any major issues. However I downloaded the game again yesterday and to my surprise it runs absolutely terribly. There are constant stutters, small freezes and it feels like the fps fluctuates between 10 and 120 all the time. No idea how they have managed to unoptimize their game that used to run just fine.

I use pc and have had zero issues overall. Also had xbox edition but stopped playing due to purchasing on pc. Could it be because it’s an Xbox Series X or is it an Xbox One? I feel that may have something to do with it

Xbox series X? Absolutely not! Do not buy at all. -Textures don’t load in properly and are blurry(rock, grass, dirt, tarmac, snow and sand). -Video settings don’t save nor display properly. -The game runs in SDR 20-45 fps when the game was running in HDR Dolby Vision at a smooth 60 fps. -Game crashes in MP constantly and sometimes in Solo. -Steering bug that throws you into a wall. All of these issues have been around for 16 MONTHS, that is 1 year and 4 months and NOTHING has been fixed. DO NOT BUY ON XBOX SERIES X! You will be ripped off.

Being a series x player I would agree. Now if you have gamepass then yes. But there’s way too many issues to recommend someone spending hard earned money on it.

Adding it in, but any DLC you have has a chance to instantly dissapear meaning any DLC trucks or maps you were on, those trucks and maps will be taken until you load back in where if you had any DLC vehicles in a certain place on any map, they dissapear

Comparing Dark Souls (RPG) to Snowrunner (off-road Simulator) isn't comparable. You should be comparing other trucker games/genres.
