Use to cut and split 16 cords for myself, 4 cords, for my aunt, uncle. Work 5 days a week in a mill. Loved being out in the woods. Miss those days. Take all take care.

This past August and September, my husband and I cut, split and stacked about 50 cord of firewood. Both retired, so not sure of pur health will hold up. Do what we van, when we can. Have a great day and God bless 💞

Hello,You two beautiful hillbilly folks!! Wow! 40* is a heat wave! Break out the shorts! Firewood is such a hump but I suppose it goes along with the daily chores. Alone now and unable to carry wood in but back in the day my husband and I did the same thing you’re doing. Had a big ol’ Vermont castings stove that kept our 200 year old farmhouse at 70’ all winter long. Used to cook on it too, chili,soup,stews. I miss it a lot. About a week from now, over here in SD, they are predicting around -20 F (7-10 days from now) Wrong, just looked at the forecast again, 3 to 4 days, Saturday - Sunday morn way below zero -15 to -20 F. BRRRRRRRR!!!!
