Sonic actually runs, The Flash enters the Speed Force. Speed Force is comic book magic that makes The Flash infinitely faster than anyone that can't enter the Speed Force. As far as Superman barely losing to the Flash, there's a comic where the JL breaks up and Superman is trying to convince Barry Allen (The Flash at the time) to come back. After Superman fails to convince Barry, Superman says, "I've raced you before, Barry. And I've even won some of those races." Which Barry replies, "Those were for charity, Clark." And then fucking giant sonic boom explosion and The Flash is just fucking gone. The Flash has also outran Death and other universal constants. He was also the person who originally learned the "Infinite Mass Punch" But I haven't read Sonic stuff. All I know is that the only way to find out who is faster, is to get the creator of The Flash and Sonic to have a fist fight.

Sorry Lawrence, but the flash still might be faster. In the comics the flash took a bet against an enemy who could instantly teleport anywhere. The flash went so fast that he beat instantaneous teleportation, saving the world. It would be cool if you could get D.C. and the Sonic creators to battle it out and see who is truly faster.

This might be lost in the void but I think this is one of, or just solely, the best podcast you guys have put out yet. I just love the atmosphere of it and it feels a lot more relaxed than it was when you started out. It was humorous, entertaining, and of course informative and I'm loving the direction you guys are going with the podcast - at least in this episode! Its obviously a title in jest. The Flash is the fastest. The DC Justice League pantheon is based off of the Greek Gods tragic origin stories. Which is why DC is too "dark" to some. Flash is Hermes, messenger for the other gods. and he is the fastest for that. As long as the wings are on his hat, or sandals. But that evolved oer time haha. Flash is a clusterfuck of speed. We went so fast once even goku instant transmission from one edge of the universe to the other would be too slow compared to the The Flash.

Doing really basic physics, infinite speed gives you a negative zero Lorentz factor so time dilates to negative infinity, length contracts to zero and his mass decreases to zero, for sonic. So Sonic becomes a mass-less object/particle? He'd have enough energy to be radiating light. So moral of the story is that Sonic is God.

FACT: the flash ran from the outside edge of the universe to earth faster than the supreme beings could teleport the same distance, the flash can absolutely demolish the speed of light allowing him to not only stop time completely, but travel through time at will. no other being in all of comic book lore can do this, and the argument for sonic is entirely arbitrary whereas the flash is backed up with actual science and tangible numbers.

First off, there's more than one of them, and they're often constructed using Cesium, since a second is well defined in terms of the frequency of the spectral line emitted from Cesium. Another fun fact: most devices that synchronize time are actually just synchronizing the time based on some reference to the time measured by GPS satellites, which are all constructed with an atomic clock inside.
