I can see Beenox doing Spyro 4. They've proved themselves with CTR NF and with the help on Crash 4. I think Beenox will be lead devs and TFB will provide all hands on deck with artwork, files and story idea.

My prediction is Spyro will join the crash multiverse in the next game. The Spyro Easter eggs in crash 4, his appearance in CTR and the new toys for Bob artstyle for crash (which matches the Spyro world quite well) support this I think. It will still be a Spyro focused game but will likely tie into crash 4. Could be far-fetched but wouldn't it be sick?

@@danielmales123 I don’t think wumpa league or mysterious logo was teasing anything. In my opinion it had nothing to do with crash 4. As crash 4 had 3 years of development and there was also a lot of cut content. ToysforBob aren’t known to add dlc to their games and they probably working in something else now. It’s nearly 4 months and no dlc so it’s safe to say we not getting anything. If we do get something it’s probably something small like a couple of new levels or skins.

When i was a little boy i grew up playing The Legend of Spyro the internal night on my DS with my brother. And then i learned more about Spyro because of the Legend trilogy so of course i meet Cynder as well. I can confirm that yes i would LOVE to see Cynder again and i would love to see how the og fans will react if they meet her. I know that sadly there is a "fight" going on with the og trilogy and with the Legend trilogy and i know that some ppl hate the Legend trilogy because is too dark and it's not like the first 3 Spyro games, but i tried last year to play the Reignite Trilogy and it was Amazing! I loved everything about the gameplay the characters and even our purple Boy Spyro! Personally i kinda liked more the legend's Trilogy story wise because it had to do with the Dragon world it was all dark and i liked it (yeah that's why one of my fv videogames nowdays is the Nier Franchise) Anyways i just hope with Spyro 4 ppl will accept thing's and won't fight :D

I believe that a new Spyro the Dragon game: "Spyro 4" will be announced and revealed in probably March or April. If not, in my guess is Spyro as a brand new Spyro game will probably be announced and revealed by Activision in May, or June with E3 2021 and then it'll hopefully be released in September. I don't know yet. I think Spyro 4 as a brand new Spyro game will be probably developed by Beenox or maybe Toys for Bob again. I don't know yet either. Who knows? But in depends. But once the announcement of Spyro 4 as a brand new Spyro the Dragon game will be revealed with a trailer in this year soon, I really want to see what Spyro 4 as a brand new Spyro game looks like about brand new story, brand new hub worlds, brand new levels, brand new portals, brand new gems and collectibles, brand new fodders, brand new enemies, brand new friends and civilizations, brand new characters, brand new villains as boss characters, new elemental breath abilities and new move abilities for Spyro, and Spyro's old friends and allies and brand new heroes and allies as playable characters to join Spyro and Sparx's adventure to save the magic worlds after the previous events of Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon of the original trilogy of Spyro the Dragon series. 🙂 But I still can't wait for news and rumors about our favorite purple dragon: Spyro and his yellow dragonfly companion: Sparx with a brand new Spyro the Dragon game: "Spyro 4" to be announced by Activision in this year soon!! It doesnt look like theyre changing his design based on the look of him in the Crash 4 artbook. If Toys for Bob or Beenox (or both) is working on it, since they were so passionate about making sure their Spyro and Original Spyro are different characters I dont see many liberties being taken. They may redesign other characters if they come back, much as I love their design for Gnasty Gnorc i wouldnt mind if they made him look more bulky like the origanl and less bloated. I could see them changing outfits of characters though, which is fine since a wardrobe change isnt like retconning a physical trait...(looks at Cortex's Crash 4 head/face)

3:03 It's funny seeing 3:1 for Crash Bandicoot as Crash fan. Also, I think on 90% that Beenox is developing Spyro. They haven't been working on anything since CTR (minus the free tracks and n.verted mode). VV worked on THPS remaster and TFB, obviously, Crash. We know on 100% that new spyro is in works. And almost certain that Spyro will come in 2021. My guess? Announcement Spring 2021, release fall 2021.

NST was released in the summer of 2017, RT - in the fall of 2018 and NF - in the summer of 2019 and it could mean that releasing IAT in October 2020 was intentional and Acti wanna cycle between summer and fall for Crash and Spyro. It'd also mean that Spyro 4 could be released this summer. However, my theory may be wrong because of 2 things. First, Spyro games take more time to develop. Second, there's other 2021 game leaked by TGR and most likely teased by Acti and it's Crash PVP, however me and some other Crash fans like MisterBo speculate that this title could be similiar to COD: Warzone - F2P (btw. it'd also explain why, according to TGR, it's coming not only for consoles and PC but also for phones), MTX, new content (including content from Crash 4, 5 etc.) added for example every month, long support and it'd be both mode in the mainline Crash games and standalone title for people who wanna play Crash PVP only or for those who chose the mobile version and just like Warzone it could be released without any reveal. And last but not least, Spyro & Friends GP actually started in August 30th 2019 and ended in September 29th 2019.

I really hope the Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time getting released back in October as well as it's release date were intentional in the first place. I would love for a Spyro 4 to happen and any developer like Toys for Bob or Beenox making it is fine with me. Vicarious Visions making more Crash Bandicoot (and Spyro) games is definitely out of the question since I've heard that they have recently merged with Blizzard Entertainment so making a new Crash Bandicoot installment will most likely be in the hands of either Toys for Bob or Beenox.

I pretty sure that was the original plan, but I can easily covid causing it to be delayed to early 2022. Crash 4 was lucky to be mostly done when the pandemic hit, but even it seemingly was delayed (pretty sure they wanted a Spring/early Summer release, not Oct). Spyro 4 would be more mid development, and harder to work on from home.

I think the reason why the “patterns” and short reveal trailers then so close to release was because companies probably didn’t want to reveal something too early and then delay it because of covid. I think VV will make Spyro 4 since toys for bob did crash 4 and they seem to be alternating every game/year

Crash 4 must have been internally delayed to October 2020 due to the pandemic, Nintendo did the same only announce when close to release to allow more development. Back in the mutant era Crash got released late in the year and MoM was not very viable commercially it is probably why the remakes of Crash were released in June which paid off as the N sane trilogy sold amazingly in that timeslot. Also a game which gets a physical edition is usually completed its development roughly two months before to sent for duplication so that has to be a factor as well.

Spyro will get a new game, even if we only get an announcement in the fall/winter. My money is on beenox to make Spyro 4. The last true game they properly developed was crash team racing nitro fueled back in 2019. This’ll be their time to shine. If not maybe VV but they only just finished Tony Hawk so possibly not. I’d be vey surprised if toys for bob was the proper developer behind it but we’ve been proven wrong a lot of times. Lol

With VV merged with Blizzard entertainment, it shortens the list down to Toys for Bob or Beenox.. unless Activision has some other studio on hand that nobody expects it to be...or even more surprising, because Blizzard and Activision and VV are merged into one, it could be kinda shocking if Blizzard suddenly claims a piece of that Crash Bandicoot/Spyro Pie. WAIT... Sanzaru helped Toys for Bob in the developing the Return of the Dragon part of the Re:Ignited Trilogy.. so it could be possible that Activision could conscript them to help.... but given how Spyro 3 had various bugs on release.. it's very very sus...

personally i dont see Spyro's design changing unless its required due to a game mechanic (i.e. the seasons mechanic thats been going around) Spyro already got redesigned a bit in his reignited trilogy, Crash just got HD'ified. Spyro's levels are pretty spot on with the original but the characters are far off from just HD'ified characters. Plus, its already created in Unreal which is most likely what theyre gonna use since it worked so well for Spyro already. Which is another comment about Crash4: its ran in Unreal not Alchemy so they probably had to redo the models and generally if youre already going through that much work might as well tweak the designs a bit.

One thing I hope is that they cut those bipedal dragons. It is part of what put me off from Spyro for so long as I thought they looked really stupid.
